Wow, what a season! It has been awesome to watch all of these kids come so far from the start of the season to the end. Our 5th/6th grade Dub-V Energy Year 3 totals for this group included competing in 13 tournaments and advancing to the championship game in half of them! From there, we won 2 championships, one in 6th grade and one in 5th grade. Great job this season, boys!
I want to thank all of the parents for supporting the team all season. You all are great and you have great kids! Thank you to Jeremy and Derrick for coaching and mentoring the kids to reach such incredible heights during this extremely successful season. I’m already ready for next season!
For our inaugural 3rd grade Dub-V team, thank you to the parents for all of the support! Thank you to Austin for being my partner in all things Dub-V Energy. Thank you to the kids for wanting to get better all season long. This team competed in 5 tournaments and came close many times. I know the foundation was laid for future successes from this group as they split into 4th grade girls and 4th grade boys teams next season.
Going from 1 to 2 teams this season was very exciting and it’s going to be even more exciting as we grow to 3 teams next year!
Next year we will have:
-6th/7th grade boys (could be two separate teams if we get enough interest/choose to add more 7th graders)
New Teams:
-4th grade boys coached by me (looking for assistant)
-4th grade girls coached by Austin and Corey
That being said, if anyone has any interest in 4th or 3rd grade boys or girls joining our teams next season, reach out!
Lastly, a big shout out to Haley for making our tournament, Courtside Clash II, happen back in May. Thank you for everything you did to make everything go so smoothly! Shoutout to all the parents for their donations and Athens and PVHS for hosting. Thanks to Austin for running it with me and let’s make #3 even bigger next year!
