Huge Win! (One down, two to go!) 🥂

We have some amazing news to share: The Planning and Zoning Board officially approved our request for food prep! Honestly, we’re still buzzing. Seeing the community show up for us like this means the world, and there’s no doubt your support helped get us over this first major hump.

What’s next?
The road is still a bit long—we have two more boards to face before we can officially fire up the kitchen. We’re currently waiting for those dates to be scheduled, but we’re heading into them with a ton of momentum.

❄️ Upgrade the Lost Oasis Snacks! ❄️

Hey Scott County!

At Lost Oasis Snow Tubing, we’ve built the hills and the thrills because this is Where Fun is Found. But we’ve run into a little "chilly" situation at our concession stand.

Right now, the local zoning rules have us stuck in the "Pre-Packaged Zone." 🧊

That means if you’re looking for fun, you’ll find it on our hill—but if you’re looking for a fresh, warm snack to refuel, you’ll only find things in plastic wrappers. We love a good granola bar, but after a few hours of tubing, a cold, crinkly bag isn't exactly "where fun is found," right?

We want to upgrade your snack game to include:
🥣 Fresh warm soup for those frozen fingers.
🍕 A hot slice of pizza for a quick refuel.
🌮 Walking Tacos & Nachos for the ultimate mid-tubing crunch.
🌭 A warm, juicy hot dog—the classic winter snack.

We’re heading to the Scott County Planning and Zoning Board to ask them to let us trade the plastic wrappers for warm, fresh snacks!

🏔️ Jan-UARY You Glad? (The Oasis Awaits!)
After the brutal Polar Vortex temperatures we’ve endured, the horizon has finally cleared to reveal a hidden paradise on the slopes! We are thrilled to announce that we are opening the gates for another weekend of winter fun. Lets send off January the proper way, by sliding down the hill!

🐍🍀 A Community-Powered Oasis
This event is only possible because of our incredible volunteers! We want to extend a massive "Thank You" to:

The 4-H Group * The Eastern Iowa Vipers 12U

These groups are providing the volunteers to work the day so that we are able to bring you this winter oasis. It takes a village to open the hill, and these teams are making it happen!
