Yoga House Princeton

Yoga House Princeton Yoga House is an online yoga studio offering pranayama, meditation and yoga classes. Hi, I’m Diana.

I’m a 500hour certified Dharma Yoga teacher with a passion for a healthy and positive way of living. I started practicing yoga in 2013 and instantly fell in love with the yoga philosophy and pranayama practice. Having a demanding career as an architect, yoga became a great tool, I noticed it helped me manage and even decrease my daily stress, increased my energy and helped me gain more enthusiasm

for life both at work and home.

In 2018, at a workshop in London, I met my current teacher Sri Dharma Mittra. I was so moved and inspired that shortly after, in 2019, I got my 500 hour certification, at the Dharma Center in New York City, taught by none other than Sri Dharma Mittra. For the past three years, I actively taught yoga at Dharmaway, Zagreb and now I am dedicated to offering online classes here at Yoga House, which is based in the United States.

On a personal note, I am married and have a beautiful baby boy. I consider myself as someone who is curious, constantly learning, looking for meaning and purpose, because I believe that life is always happening for us, not to us. As I am coming from a stressful corporate background, I know what it’s like to juggle work and family life. I’m here to support you, help you feel stronger, inspired and motivated to live a life that’s filled with possibilities.

Everywhere we go in life, everything we do, we are expected to try harder to be the best, to compete for more. We compare ourselves to others but we avoid judging ourselves based on the most important indicator of our success – ourselves.
Finally, yoga taught me to accept myself for what I was able to accomplish, and not to reflect on what I was unable to accomplish. The ego does not belong in yoga. The ego exists everywhere else in our lives.
Yoga is an escape from the ego. It is an escape from personal criticism and self-judgment.

Open your heart to life! ✨

When we are mind-dominated, our hearts become closed. We no longer see other people as fascinating expressions of Divinity. Instead, we see them as threats to our job, security, well-being, or unstable ego identities. We can no longer find the courage in ourselves to be open and vulnerable, so instead, we adopt fearful masks that suffocate us. When our hearts are closed, we are no longer truly experiencing life. The moment our hearts close is the moment when we disconnect from our true nature.

The reward for opening your Heart is access to the strongest force in the universe: Love itself. The deeper you go into the Heart, the more you will sense this pulsating, overwhelmingly intense energy within you. This energy, this Love, is the fabric of your very Soul. This energy is the source of Life itself; the feeling of eternity.

Love transcends the mind and its need to control and understand everything. When you open your heart, little by little, you will find that the only true guidance is within you. In other words, your Heart knows exactly what you need let go of and love.

Join our classes where we will open our hearts together 💕♥️

What is Yoga?

The word Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root yui meaning to bind, join, attach and yoke, to direct and concentrate one's attention on, to use and apply. It also means union or communion. It is the true union of our will with the will of God. 'It thus means,' says Mahadev Desai in his introduction to the Gita according to Gandhi, 'the yoking of all the powers of body, mind and soul to God; it means the disciplining of the intellect, the mind, the emotions, the will, which that Yoga pre-supposes; it means a poise of the soul which enables one to look at life in all its aspects evenly.'
Yoga is one of the six orthodox systems of Indian philosophy. It was collated, co-ordinated and systematised by Patanjali in his classical work, the Yoga Sutras, which consists of 185 terse aphorisms. In Indian thought, everything is permeated by the Supreme Universal Spirit (Paramátmã or God) of which the individual human spirit (jivâtma) is a part. The system of yoga is so called because it teaches the means by which the jivätma can be united to, or be in communion with the Paramâtma, and so secure liberation (moksa).
