The Holidays sure do make it tough to follow our nutrition and food planning, right?

Here’s what your plate should look like during those holiday potlucks.

Shoot for 30g of protein per meal. This keeps you full and supports muscle growth. Combing a responsible and nutritious plate with regular exercise will have you well on your way to that beach bod in just a few months.

Tis the season for over-indulgence.

We all know it’s coming. For some it starts at Halloween. Every year those irresistible treats are presented to us. Whether it’s the trick or treat candy, Mom’s lemon meringue pie at Thanksgiving, or the loads of Christmas cookies we fancy.

For many of us, the New Year offers relief from weeks of what seems like nap-inducing overconsumption. We love the food but it makes us feel bloated and lethargic. Our mind then transitions to the New Year, spring, beach season, and yes…bathing suits. 👙🩳

Why do we feature the cross in our new logo? We have been asked.

There’s an old saying, “you can’t outrun the kitchen”, meaning it’s near impossible to get that body most all clients want if you aren’t eating right.

Or, “Master your mindset and you will master your body.” Same as above dealing with the mind.

How about, “Exercise is a celebration of what you body can do.” Heard that one dealing with movement?

You see, Ohana Training really trains all 4 pillars of wellness.

Protein. Protein. Protein! But why?

Most people know protein + training = good outcomes. But what specifically does this mean for our bodies?

💪Because it takes more than carbs to break down, protein speeds up your metabolism

💪Protein keeps you full, so we are less apt to snack on junk

💪Protein helps balance blood sugar, and can help with high blood pressure.

💪Promotes bone health, heart health, and muscle growth!

Don’t over-consume, but when consuming a healthy amount of protein, the benefits are huge. Again, .8-1g per pound of body weight.

We tell clients, if you don’t want to track all your food intake, fine. At least track the amount of protein you consume. The benefits for weight management are undeniable.

That’s it, folks. Ohana closed out its last day open in downtown Princeton, NC today. This week was one our most successful weeks in business, and we owe so many folks a thank you for this journey.

Before we thank some folks, remember that we have the Smithfield store, Evolve Nutrition. Please consider supporting it when over that way. Address is 1243 N. brightleaf Blvd, next to Subway in the Belk plaza.

We also thought it was appropriate to post our very first tea. The Bulldog Blast!

✝️ To our God first and foremost, we show gratitude and praise Him. Through Him all things are blessed.

❤️ Thank you to our family for the relentless hard work it took to make it this long. We have what we call a party of 6 in the house. All 6 chipped in and went above and beyond!!Family small business isn’t easy but we stuck together through thick and thin. We are stronger for it.

😃 To our employees, we were blessed to employ about 40 of you (some still employed in Smithfield), there were so many times where your creativity and patience showed us how to be better leaders. We employed some of the best the local area had to offer. Thank you, team!

👫🏻To our wonderful landlords, Lois and James. You are both the picture of who a tenant wants to lease from. Such grace and humility, and you showed us such love. We can’t put in to words the gratitude we have for your belief in us.
