An outfitted hunt can represent years of saving, planning and anticipation. When finding the right hunt, we help you be sure you understand what you are actually booking.

Five questions to ask when booking a hunt:

1. What does a typical day of hunting look like?
2. What expectations are realistic for this area, season and hunt style?
3. What is the guide arrangement?
4. What terrain, elevation and physical demands should I expect?
5. What is included, what costs extra and can I speak with hunters who completed a comparable trip?

The best-known outfitter or highest advertised success rate does not automatically make a hunt the right fit. Your goals, abilities, expectations and preferred experience all matter.

A good booking decision is one where both the hunter and outfitter understand what success should look like before the hunt begins. Let’s help you find your next adventure.

A state can offer a lot of tags and still be the wrong application for your hunting plan.

Tag allotments matter—but the total number is only the beginning. You also need to understand:

• How tags are divided between residents and nonresidents
• Which units, seasons and weapon types receive those tags
• How many hunters are competing for them
• Whether the state uses preference points, bonus points or another system
• Whether the available opportunity actually fits your timeline, budget and preferred hunt

The goal isn’t simply to apply in more states. It’s to build an application strategy around the hunts you actually want.

A hunt can look great in pictures—but is it the right hunt for you?

Terrain, physical demands, hunt style, timing, budget and expectations all matter when evaluating an opportunity. An available hunt isn’t automatically a good fit, even when the species and destination check the obvious boxes.

Before recommending a hunt, we want to understand what the hunter is trying to accomplish:

• What kind of experience are you looking for?
• How physically demanding do you want the hunt to be?
• Is your priority opportunity, trophy potential or sharing the experience with someone?
• Does the complete cost fit your budget?
• How does this hunt fit into your long-term plan?

Sometimes the right recommendation is to book the opportunity. Other times, it is to keep looking or wait for a hunt that better matches your goals.

Our job isn’t simply to help you find a hunt. It’s to help you make an informed decision about the right hunt.
