Where do I begin? Felt like crap for the past two days and started feeling better more towards race time. We decided to load up and go to the track. We had an awesome field of 6 karts in my class, starting out the track was slick and would remain even slicker the rest of the night, especially for me, let me explain 🤣
We qualified 4th for our heat race, we ran awesome for the heat and ran 3rd most of that race, on the last lap I came off too high on turn 4 and my good buddy Colin Childers got underneath me for the pass. We ended up finishing 4th. So we started 4th in the feature, was running decent until we lost 2 nuts on the right front tire causing the kart to handle even worse on the tracks conditions. I ended up spinning out and going over the embankment on turn 2 in to the grass lol it was a wild ride. We ended up finishing 5th. We’re still learning and still going to get better and better each week!
Shout out to my awesome pit crew (Dad, Popaw James Hall and my uncle Josh Hitchcock)
Also, as always you know I couldn’t do this without the help from local businesses that invest in youth sports. Make sure you guys go and support them as they support me!
