I’m all for big resolutions, new beginnings and goals that are awe worthy, BUT I’m also a mom of 2 kids under 3, I have a full time job, a coaching business, a husband and I’m still not getting consistent sleep through the night so… anything major seems overwhelming. Too overwhelming.
So amongst all the other New Year, New You posts that are inundating our IG feeds - I did a hard stop on a post where someone shared - in 2023 “I watered what watered me.”
It was exactly what I needed to read in the moment, because big audacious goals feel like too much right now.
So, how I'm making micro adjustments in 2024 are the following:
- Planning (and sticking to) me time daily, weekly, and monthly where I am only accountable for me (this looks like doing my nails, going to a warm yoga class and taking a 24 hr break from mom-ing every 90 days)
- Incorporating daily movement - I just feel 10X better when my body gets movement everyday
- More chargers around my house & office
- Extra large cup holders for my cars
- Continuing to prioritize my health - seeing a naturopath and fine tuning what my body needs via vitamins & supplements
- More vacations - we haven't seen enough of our people since COVID and having kids...
What is on your list of small things you're going to do for yourself in 2024 to get you closer to the bigger goals you have for yourself?!
