Columbus Roadrunners Club

Columbus Roadrunners Club Running support, information sharing Founded in 1975, the Club is the oldest club in central Ohio. It is a member of the Roadrunners Club of America (RRCA).

The Columbus Roadrunners Club (CRRC) is a non-profit organization with the purpose of promoting and encouraging running at all levels. The CRRC sponsors informal group runs, as well as organized races, throughout the year. Club members volunteer in a variety of events, which include the Columbus Marathon and other community running events. The CRRC hosts an annual banquet and year around club activities.

In 2023 the CRRC Winter Run will be returning to Granville, OH with the Timbuk Challenge. Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon and a 5K on Sunday, February 12, 2023. The start and finish will be at Timbuk Farms. The Half Marathon is two loops of the challenging (hilly) Quarter Marathon (6.8 mile) course. Registration is now open.

The CRRC Winter Run is on Sunday February 12, 2023. It includes the following events: Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon, and 5K Run/Walk.

The CRRC will be holding the 33rd Annual Winter Run on February 16, 2014, at the Granville Intermediate School. Join us for the distance that is right for you. The Winter Run offers a perfect training race for a spring marathon or a way to shake off the winter blues. Pick from a 15, 7.5, or 3 mile race. The 15 mile race is two loops of the 7.5 mile course, and the 3 mile race is an out and back course. All races start and finish at the Granville Intermediate School.

This year all race proceeds will go to Steps For Sarcoma, whose mission is to bring community awareness to this highly aggressive, rare cancer and to raise pilot funds for research to promote improved patient outcomes and quality of life.

Cost: $35, after 2/1/14 $40 late registration -- CRRC members receive $10 discount.

On Wednesday, August 14 at 6:30PM, will be the final evening of the Summer Race Series. Please join us for the Community Running 1 Mile and 5K runs. The Summer Race Series is free and open to all runners/walkers. The start and finish will be at the Whetstone Casting Pond.

Don’t miss the Community Running Summer Run Series. It is a great way to include a little speedwork, and a fun way to test your fitness level. So join us for the Summer Run Series. The course will be set up with mile markers, finish line and a race clock for checking your time.

Summer Run Series -- Free and open to all runners!

What: A free monthly Community Running 1 Mile and 5K Run.
Where: Whetstone Park, start and finish at the casting pond, with an out and back course along the Olentangy River.

When: The second Wednesday of each month, June 12, July 10 & August 14, 2013, at 6:30PM

Why: To have fun running with other runners, to watch your progress through the summer, and just say you did it.

Starting on January 2, 2013, Community Running will beginning a FREE running group for novice and experience runners to stay active through the winter. We will meet at the Whetstone Recreation Center, 6:30 every Wednesday. We will meet near the back door, with a quick warm-up and then head down to the casting pond for runs. Intervals, hill workouts and mix it up with fartleks. Don't let the cold keep you from running.
