As we approach contest day, the District 2 4-H office is finalizing the shooting schedule. Unless anything changes, Garza County shooters need to be onsite and checked in by the following times on 4/11:
• Flight 3: Bryson Bloomingdale — by 9:50 AM
• Flight 4: Keithland Wink, Levi Walkup — by 10:50 AM
• Flight 5: Noah Sanchez, Rody Howard — by 11:50 AM
• Flight 6: Ava Dennison, Conner Griffin — by 12:50 PM
• Flight 7: Tristan Dennison — by 1:50 PM
• Flight 8: Sara Tadlock, Morgan Tadlock — by 2:50 PM

Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes earlier than your listed time, as they may be running ahead of schedule.

This is our final week of practice before competition. The District 4-H office is currently finalizing shooting flight schedules for the contest.

We will have practice at 6:30 PM on both Tuesday and Thursday, as usual.

I have two Thursday shooters who have a conflict this week and need to attend Tuesday’s practice instead. Because of that, I’m looking for a couple of volunteers who normally shoot on Tuesday to switch and practice on Thursday at 6:30 PM.

If you’re willing to help by making that switch, please reach out.

Also every shooter has to pay $20 to the facility for the contest, they’ve asked each county to bring one check to pay for all the shooters fee so we are asking that everyone bring a check to reimburse Garza County 4-H to practice this week and I’ll turn it in with the money bag.

Don’t forget that practice resumes this week beginning at 6:30 this evening for my Tuesday shooters.

Please be sure to bring your $5 per shooter, per practice to support the rifle shooting program.

4-HOnline steps to get registered.

1: Go to your profile name and hit VIEW

2: Look top left and hit little grey box, it will open another box.

3: Go to EVENTS and scroll down to find D2 Rifle.

4: Fill out registration, put if you will be sharing a rifle and if you will need any accommodations.

There will not be rifle practice during spring break (3/16-3/20 week). Ya’ll enjoy spring break and we will see our shooters the following week, (3/24 week).

Be sure to get signed up for the competition by April 1st on 4-H Online. The contest is 4/11 in Lubbock.
