“The invention of the DWNTWN Run Bra started as a simple thought: ‘There has to be a better way.’ Every time I stepped out the door to run I was annoyed by the juggling act of where and how to store my phone, cards, and keys.

“Finally, halfway through my 11th marathon — the New York City marathon — I made the decision that I would turn my ‘sports bra with pockets’ idea into a reality.

“After making the decision to commit, the real work began.

“I interviewed dozens of runners to deeply understand user habits. And had my local NYC seamstress sew pockets into 10 different sports bras—so I could rapid-prototype and wear-test different pocket configurations to land on the most optimal comfort and convenience.

“I went to fabric fairs to hand pick the BEST, most premium, comfortable, and highest performing material. And designed a bra that would not only provide the storage function that so many women desired…but would also look flattering and cool.

“Many prototypes, hundreds of conversations with women runners, a few-manufacturers, 1 global pandemic, and many miles of wear-testing later, the DWNTWN Run Bra has now evolved from a simple idea to a fully realized and game-changing product.
