**Fall Rec - REGISTRATION OPEN **

Registration is still open for our Fall Rec - please look to register as soon as you can, in Spring we had 200+ players register in the last week !

We will start putting together the teams at the end of the week. Right now we plan to have girls only brackets for U7/8 and U10/12 so if you know of anymore girls that would like to take part then please share with them.

Practice starts Monday 14th for the U8 & up and then Wednesday 16th for the U7 and under

Fall Rec is open to both boys and girls of all abilities. Whether players are starting out or have played before then this is a great program to get them back out on the fields.

We start with training the week of September 14th, with our first games on 26th September. We play for eight weeks with last games November 14th. This year we will be playing games on the 31st October and are now holding our Trunk or Treat on Friday 30th.

Practice times are -

U4 through U7 - Wednesday 6:30pm-7:30pm

U8 & U10 - Monday & Friday 6:00pm-7:30pm

U12, U14 and High School - Monday & Friday 7:30pm-9pm

Games will be Saturday mornings at McChesney Park. Total cost is $135 for U7 and under and $160 for U8 and over. Price includes Adidas Game Shirt

We are always looking for volunteer coaches - equipment is provided and those that volunteer get a full credit for the next season.

Our Mako U13 Boys played their first N1 League game today at Palm Beach Kicks. Their original season opener was scheduled for last Saturday, but it had to be postponed due to lightning. Weather was once again a concern today, and after an hour-long delay, the skies finally cleared, allowing the game to get underway.

The Mako boys put in an excellent performance, taking a 2-0 lead into halftime. With approximately five minutes remaining in the second half, the match was abandoned due to lightning. At the time, the boys were comfortably ahead 5-0.

This was a commanding victory for the team. They displayed tremendous skill, energy, and determination throughout the match, and their hunger to win was evident from start to finish. It was a fantastic way to begin the N1 League campaign, and we look forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Our Mako U15 Girls played out our first ever national1league game today at McChesney Park against AC Delray Rush.

From the first whistle it was clear that our girls came to play. We had great ball movement and well executed play from the back. Taking a 5-0 lead in at half time, Coach Iain made some positional changes to give players an opportunity to grow into different roles on the field

Some fantastic teamwork and lots from the training ground incorporated into the game, our girls ran out 8-0 winners in the end.

There is plenty more to come from these talented ladies as the season progresses - that is for sure !

Our U12 Boys were also in semi final action this morning - they played out a fantastic game to secure their place in the Vero Cup U13 Finals. After conceding an early goal, the team found its rhythm and became unstoppable, battling back to earn an exciting 4-3 victory.

Unfortunately due to the wet conditions the final was cancelled and our boys were awarded second place based on their bracket performance.

Still it was a great weekend of experience for the boys and there is plenty more to come

We have some results to bring you from a rained out Vero Cup. Firstly our U14 put up a very brave performance in their semi final against IRSA - despite falling 0-2, the boys never gave up and battled back to 2-2. Unfortunately a late third goal for IRSA saw them miss out on a final spot but Coach Robert & Coach Alfredo were very happy with this weekends work.

Great job by Mako's U12 Boys competing in the Vero U13 bracket this weekend! After battling to a draw last night, the boys came out firing today and earned a big 4-2 win over Royal Palm Beach advancing them to the semifinals.

This mornings they'll face another Royal Palm squad with a spot in the finals on the line.

Coach Dwayne was clear that “This weekend wasn't about wins and losses, it was about preparing for the transition from 9v9 to 11v11. The boys have embraced the challenge, stepped up in a big way, and shown they're ready for whatever comes next. Excited to see how much this group grows over the next nine months!”

With this group about to start playing in the Pre ECNL then weekends like this are important for their development.

Congratulations to our U14 Boys Blue team who will be competing in the semi finals of the Vero Cup tomorrow morning.

They will be facing up against a IRSA team that narrowly beat the 2-1 this morning. That result didn’t deter our boys who raced out to a 2-0 lead in their game this afternoon against Indialantic which was eventually cut short by the weather.

Mako have four teams at the Vero Cup this weekend and our U13 boys started their campaign last night with a 1-1 tie.

Coach Dwyane has this to say; “I had my first game ever with the U12 boys today at the Vero Beach tournament, and they put on a great display. The focus over the past few weeks has been simple: touches, passes, and finding feet, and the boys executed it well.

We faced W&H and went down 1-0 early after a penalty. Despite creating several good chances, we couldn't find the net until late in the second half, when we finally equalized. We had opportunities to win it, but the match ended in a well-earned 1-1 draw.“

We’ll keep you up to date with our teams progress through the weekend as well as bring you other results including our first Nat1 games.
