This trip was full of firsts!!!
- First time sailing away for a weekend on this boat
- First time at anchor for 4 days on this boat
- First time buddy boating for the weekend with great friends.
- First time using the new Mantus 55
- First time using the new windlass
- First time Stacey and Connor have EVER stayed at anchor
- First time weathering a storm at 3AM on anchor with this boat
- First time waking up at 3am every morning like clockwork to check the anchor alarm to make sure we didn’t drag.
- First time using the new grill
- First time towing the dinghy
- First time using the new outboard engine mount
- First time side hooking a small mouth while trolling back to the drifting spot 😂
- First time clogging the sea strainer with seaweed
- First time sucking up a small fish with the strainer.

I could go on and on and on but that’s enough from me. Here is the photo dump of the weekend.

New d**k really scoots with just the 3 of us. Tried a max capacity ride with some friends that came up for the weekend....

New d**k really scoots with just the 3 of us. Tried a max capacity ride with some friends that came up for the weekend. The 20 was almost there at m/c but couldn’t quite get on a plane. Also helped our boat neighbor repair the dock from ice heave and helped him rebuild his stairs into a platform. Awesome long weekend. Next up ... impeller, mast work, changing all the oils, and finish getting her ready to actually sail for the summer.

She floats again. Looking forward to another summer!!!

I was able to wheel out 99% of the scratches from the previous owner, cleans up pretty good so far!!! Count down to lau...

Before I get any s**t for this. We were an hour up the river in an area were all boats were out of the water and an there was a very large stretch between houses.

All I have to say is wow! Highfield builds one hell of a RIB. Still breaking in the new Honda so couldn’t get a top speed but ran flawlessly. Pretty lame that FB doesn’t allow you to upload both photos and videos in one post. Get it together Zuck.
