PHMHA/PHP Skills and Development Program:

We are excited to announce a brand new program for this hockey season in which we are motivated and able to provide a professionally-guided comprehensive skills and development youth hockey program. The Port Huron Prowlers organize and conduct the Monday night skills and development skates to provide overall professional hockey instruction.

Our new program is designed to provide Monday night skills skates, to include:

• Fundamentals of hockey
• Powerskating
• Puck control/stick handling
• Small group instruction
• Small ice games
• Situational tactics
• Mini clinics involving specialty focus areas to extend learning and growth
• Periodical evaluation, rating, and score of core performance hockey skills of each player done by the Prowlers.

The purpose of this page is for:

• Communication regarding practices, what to expect, general information.
• Future content including Prowler-based instructional videos for on/off ice skill development.
