PCHS Pirate Athletics

PCHS Pirate Athletics Pirate Athletics is committed to being an important part of the overall educational experience at Port Charlotte High School.

Pirate Athletics unites the school and community, creating positive and memorable experiences through the perseverance, sportsmanship, and effort of our student athletes and coaches. With this in mind, PCHS provides the opportunity of participating in several programs that are intended to foster competition, camaraderie, dedication, and respect for others. We believe these virtues will serve as a foundation for each student athlete's personal growth by providing life-long learning experiences through athletic competition.

Oriah Valenti ran a Season Best (SB) of 20:07, earning her a 20th-place finish and bringing home a medal.

Abby Donahue also delivered a fantastic race, running a Season Best of 25:59β€”placing her just two seconds off her overall PR from last year!

All of our athletes showed up with incredible determination. The next meet will be on Saturday 9/12 in Fort Myers @ Kelly Road Soccer Complex.

Last week, some of our Pirate Football players hit the road to visit a few of our surrounding schools! πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈπŸˆβ€οΈπŸ–€

Our players had the chance to meet some of our future Pirates and personally deliver Football Passes to some amazing employees who support our students long before they ever walk through the doors at Port Charlotte High School.

We love getting out into our community, building connections with our feeder schools, and showing our appreciation for the teachers and staff who help shape the next generation of Pirates.

We hope to see lots of familiar faces in the stands this season cheering on our Pirates! β€οΈπŸ–€πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ

πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ Proud of our Pirate Cross Country Team! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

A huge thank you to our coaches, Mrs. Mault and Mr. Mault and to this incredible group of student-athletes who are a joy to be around!

I had the opportunity to watch them compete Saturday morning at Wellen Park, and I had a great time cheering them on. The course was muddy, the Florida humidity was definitely there, but our Pirates kept pushing, giving their best effort, and doing it all with smiles on their faces.

What I love most is seeing their growth. So many of our runners are already setting personal bests, and I’m excited to watch them continue to improve throughout the season.

Keep working. Keep improving. Keep supporting each other. Proud of the effort, Pirates! πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈβ€οΈπŸ–€
