What a day!

An early start, fantastic lessons, and some incredible progress in the pool today.

From little swimmers taking their very first independent movements in the water, to older swimmers refining technique, improving breathing patterns, developing stronger body position, and building skills that will last a lifetime.

One of the things I am most passionate about is working with each swimmer as an individual. Every swimmer has different strengths, learns differently, and progresses at their own pace.

I work with their natural abilities and build from there.
If breaststroke is a swimmer's natural stroke, we develop it. If front crawl comes more naturally, we build upon that. By working with a swimmer's strengths while gradually developing weaker areas, progress is often faster, more enjoyable, and more sustainable.

Today was full of smiles, determination, breakthroughs, and proud moments. Whether it was a first swim, improved breathing, better body position, increased confidence, or refining stroke technique, every achievement deserves to be celebrated.

Swimming is a journey, and I am privileged to be part of so many different journeys every week.

Thank you to all my wonderful swimmers and families for your hard work, trust, and enthusiasm.

💦Safe Choices In and Around the Water 💦

Water safety is about so much more than swimming.

In this video, my young swimmer is learning to make safe choices in and around the water.

From understanding when and where it is safe to jump, to rolling onto the back to float and recover, these are all important skills that help build confidence and promote safer behaviour around water.

True water safety is developed through a combination of skills, knowledge, confidence, and good decision-making.
Every safe choice a child learns today helps build safer habits for the future.

🏊‍♀️Saturday Swim Lesson Update🏊‍♀️

As many of you know, Saturdays are becoming incredibly busy, so thank you in advance for your patience while I finalize everyone's lesson schedule.

My goal is always to keep swimmers at, or as close as possible to, their regular lesson times. However, to accommodate everyone and minimize travel time, the lesson schedule has to be planned as efficiently as possible.

If you are in East Englewood I do have tomorrow afternoon availability while we're still enjoying a break from the afternoon storms. Please let me know if this is an option for you!
