History was made yesterday!
❤️‍🔥🖤🔱🖤❤️‍🔥

For the very first time, our school proudly fielded a Lady Red Devils Powerlifting Team at the LHSAA/LHSPLA Division IV Girls State Championship, and what an unforgettable debut it was. These young women stepped onto the platform with courage, determination, and heart—representing our school in a way that truly sets the standard for the future.

Like any competition, the day came with both triumphs and tough moments. There were lifts we wish we could take back—but more importantly, there were personal records crushed, barriers broken, and confidence built rep by rep. That’s what this sport is all about.

We couldn’t be more proud of the grit these athletes showed. They didn’t just compete—they made history. And this is only the beginning for Lady Red Devil Powerlifting!

Port Barre High School is beyond proud to announce that Brylee Mayer and Tanis Corder have officially qualified for the LHSAA/LHSPLA State Powerlifting Championship!

These two Lady Devils have shown incredible strength, discipline, and determination all season long. Early mornings, tough lifts, sore muscles, and unwavering focus — and now it’s paying off in a BIG way! 💪

They don’t just represent themselves; they represent the heart of Port Barre — grit, resilience, and hard work.

We are SO proud of you both and can’t wait to watch you compete on the state stage!

I am SO incredibly proud of these girls!! ❤️🔥

In just their very first year as a girls powerlifting team at Port Barre High, these ladies went out today and gave it EVERYTHING at the West Regional meet. They trusted the process. They showed grit. They showed determination. They dug deep when it got hard—and they did NOT back down. 💪

No tears. No excuses. Just heart, strength, and a whole lot of fight.

We won’t find out who qualifies for the State Championships until Tuesday, but let me be very clear—results or not, I am SO VERY PROUD of these young women right now. They set the standard, made history, and proved exactly what Port Barre girls are made of.

What a way to start something special. ❤️🏋️‍♀️🔥

Huge shoutout to our Port Barre High School Lady Powerlifters because EVERY SINGLE ONE of our girls made weight and is officially ready for the West Regional Powerlifting Championship tomorrow! 🏋️‍♀️🔥

Some of our athletes had to cut a little, some had to eat a little more, and all of them showed incredible discipline, commitment, and determination to get it done. No excuses—just hard work, focus, and grit 💖

We are so proud of these strong young women for trusting the process, supporting each other, and showing what it means to be a team. Now it’s time to rest up, fuel up, and go show out at the LHSPLA West Regional Powerlifting Championship 💥

In the first time in school’s history, the girls have a Powerlifitg team and several qualified for the Regional competition, and have the potential to qualify for the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP in March!!! 💪 Let’s go ladies!!!l
