🏐⚾ PYA COMMISSIONER POSITIONS ⚾🏐

As we prepare for the upcoming seasons, the Volleyball Commissioner and Baseball Commissioner positions are approaching the end of their current terms.

These roles operate on a one-year commitment, and we want to provide full transparency on the responsibilities involved for anyone interested in serving in the future.

Please note: Both volleyball and baseball are fall AND spring sports, meaning this is not a short season commitment — it spans multiple seasons throughout the year.

Please understand — these positions require a significant level of time, organization, and dedication. They are hands-on roles that are essential to the success of our programs.

Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

✔️ Coordinating with surrounding leagues to build game schedules
✔️ Organizing player registrations, team formation, and/or tryouts
✔️ Recruiting and maintaining communication with coaches
✔️ Serving as the main point of communication between PYA, coaches, parents, and league officials
✔️ Maintaining consistent communication with the main PYA Board
✔️ Attending league meetings and staying aligned with rules and regulations
✔️ Ordering and organizing jerseys/uniforms
✔️ Managing and ensuring all game day operations are covered, including:
• Officials (referees/umpires)
• Gate workers
• Concessions
• Scorekeepers/books
✔️ Being present and available during games — especially hosting Saturdays
✔️ Problem-solving, decision-making, and helping keep the entire season running smoothly

This role requires someone who:
⭐ Is organized, dependable, and proactive
⭐ Communicates effectively with both adults and youth
⭐ Is willing to give their time — including evenings and weekends
⭐ Has a heart for serving our athletes and community

These roles are currently being fulfilled by dedicated volunteers, and we want to recognize that there is a tremendous amount of time and effort happening behind the scenes to make each season successful.

What a great night celebrating Poolville Homecoming and showing off our amazing youth teams! 🦁🏐⚾🏀

A HUGE thank you to all of our incredible parents who took the time to plan, decorate, organize, and put together floats for the parade. Your hard work does not go unnoticed. It takes time, creativity, teamwork, and a whole lot of love to make those floats happen — and you all delivered! 🙌✨

Seeing our youth athletes proudly represent their teams and our community is what PYA is all about. These memories are what make small-town life so special.

🦁TODAYS THE DAY! 🦁
Parade starts at 5:30pm

It begins at the Tabernacle and follows Seaberry Rd to the High School. Only floats will be allowed to park at the Tabernacle parking lot.
Please park in the field that is open/empty across from the Junior High Campus to unload and decorate the floats.

🔥Lighting of the Letters and Pep Rally to immediately follow the parade!

The WHOLE community is welcome! Please come out and join us!!
