CKNA Grands X was quite the experience!

Thursday - practice session 1 went good then I slowly declined the reminder of the 3 sessions that day. Steering issues and no power.
Got my trophy for finishing 3rd place overall in the South Division for the CKNA series. 🥉🏆
Friday - changed motor out, had front end straightened by chassis guy. Warmups and happy hour we had a great pace and for qualifying ended up 26th out of 88 karts.
Friday - Heat 1 - started 13th out of 44 karts. Lost 10 positions due to wrong gear and finished 23rd.
Saturday - Heat 2 - started 23rd out of 44 karts.
Got up to 17th and then got run over and off the track with 2 laps to go. Ended up finishing 42nd
Saturday - Heat 3 - started 42nd out of 44th. Got up to 32nd and went to make a move in a turn and spun myself out. Ended up finishing 44th.
Because of the finishing positions in the last 2 heats, we had to race the last chance qualifying race Sunday morning. Only took 56 to the final from the heat races.
Sunday - track condition was horrible. Rain and midst caused moisture/water. Went out on slicks for warmups thinking it would dry out and it was way too wet, spun on first lap.
Sunday - last chance race- started 14th out of 32 karts. Track was still wet so put on rain tires. Ended up spinning out twice and fell back to 26th. Worked my way back up to 16th and ended up with 14th due to other karts penalties. They only took top 4 to main final.
Although we didn’t make the final race of 60 karts, we had fun, learned a lot and overall was a good experience. Can’t wait Until next year!
