Nothing says “adulting” quite like spending the entire day unloading and stacking (ok, maybe I had to work my boring office job on-and-off all day and Aaron and his amazing parents did the majority of the work) a semi load of beautiful orchard/alfalfa mix hay that was bailed with a steamer! No dust, soft leafy flakes, and horses that couldn’t wait to get their faces buried in it (which was evident when the one paddock group leader decided to open the gate on her own and come out to get the first samples of it lol) thank you Dayna Rivinius for the assist getting them back in and witnessing our daily circus 😂

Every sore muscle is worth it when the barn is full, the feed room smells like fresh hay, and the horses are diving into breakfast happy and content. Long day, but nothing beats knowing the horses are set up with the good stuff. 🌾🐴

And just like that our foaling season has concluded!

The Goodbye Lane x Midnight Junkies 💙💙💙

A Hail Mary last year, one shot at it because the stallion stopped shipping June 1, and I drove to OKC to pick up semen at the airport on Memorial Day

A double ovulation on a mare we planned to breed to carry

A decision to risk twins and having to pinch one knowing we wouldn’t get another chance at this cross on the ground until 2027

A perfect flush with 2 beautiful embryos, 2 recips ready to go to work

And we have the perfect matching set!

The filly was born on 5/8/26 and this big beautiful guy showed up overnight!

Thank you Stillwater Equine Veterinary Services for everything!! Can’t wait to meet this little man!
