Phi Kappa Tau (ΦKT) Fall Rush 2011 If you're looking to get the most out of your time spent at college, come check us out during rush week at the Phi Kappa Tau tent in the Quad. Center St.

FALL RUSH SCHEDULE

=MONDAY=
What: Monday Night Football
Where: TBD
When: 7pm

--Come out and meet and hang out with the bros, eat great food, watch the game as well as play a game or two of flag football.


=TUESDAY=
What: Bowling
Where: Oak Tree Lanes (meet at the house first, rides will be provided)
When: 7 pm

--Come check out Cal Poly’s original Fraternity house, make some friends, as well

as test your skills on the bowling lanes.


=WEDNESDAY=
What: Broomball
Where: Ontario Ice (meet at the house first, rides will be provided)
When: 8 pm

--For those who don’t know what it is…just imagine 2 teams of at least 40 people on a hockey rink, with nothing but your shoes, a broomball stick and a lot of guts. Just try and remember to leave the flip flops at home, this isn’t the beach after all.


=THURSDAY=
What: Taco Eating Contest
Where: The House
When: 7pm

--Compete against your fellow college students in a competition of…you guessed it, your taco eating skills. Share some strategy or stories with the bros, and have all the tacos you would ever want. Oh and did we mention the winner will walk away with an Xbox 360?


=FRIDAY=
What: BBQ with Actives and Alumni
Where: The House
When: 7pm

--Come out and meet the gentlemen who made the fraternity what it is today. Our Alumni coming out to meet and greet as well share some of their knowledge with us college kids. Come and eat free food and play some sick games, as well as have quality conversation and quality hookah.


=SATURDAY=
What: Preference Dinner (Formal attire aka shirt and tie)
Where: The House

Phi Kappa Tau - Cal Poly’s First and Finest Fraternity. We Started it all…

HISTORY:

-1957 Founded as the Association for Kellogg Spirit ("A.K.S.").

-1960's Name changed to Alpha Kappa Sigma, the first Fraternity at Cal Poly.

-1980's Purchased the Chapter House, Cal Poly's First Fraternity House.

-1984 Joined the Phi Kappa Tau National Fraternity, as its Delta Tau Chapter.

-1980's - 1990's The Chapter won Cal Poly's "Poly Gold Award" for best overall Fraternity more than all
the other Cal Poly Fraternities combined.

-2003 Delta Tau was named a "Maxwell Chapter" by the Phi Kappa Tau National Fraternity, placing it in the top 3 of all Phi Tau Chapters, nationwide.

-2004 Delta Tau chapter of Phi Tau celebrates 20 years in Phi Kappa Tau with its largest Founders' Day ever. Delta Tau completes first-ever "Greek Sweep", winning both Poly Gold and Greek Week!

-2006 Phi Kappa Tau National Fraternity celebrates 100 years of brotherhood.

-2007 Delta Tau chapter of Phi Kappa Tau celebrates 50 years on campus and completes its 2nd "Greek Sweep" by winning both Poly Gold and Greek Week.

-2008 Chapter wins poly gold, and lip sync.

-2010 Delta Tau was named a "Maxwell Chapter" by the Phi Kappa Tau National Fraternity for the second time
