Hey everybody, a little squad update and a call-to-action!
We have a big incoming Freshman Class this season, 12 in total. We return 17 players, and we picked up 1 athlete already with 2 Foreign-Exchange students to boot. We felt it was a good year to return to Rio Soccer Camp hosted by the University of Rio Grande, it's a camp I went to 3 times as a player, and definitely a crowd favorite for those who have gotten to go over the past 17 years. With that being said, we plan on taking about 21 campers over this summer (2nd week of July). Boys stay in the dorms in groups of 4.
They arrive on Sunday afternoon, they play 2 games every evening, with a morning and afternoon training session on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. All in all they get 8 games and 6 training sessions and get to experience "three-a-days". It's a great experience with tons of soccer.
With that being said, we have two athletes that need a little help to be able to afford camp. Normally it's $310 per player but Scott works with me if we have any athletes in need, and gave me a reduced rate for those two athletes. So, I'm asking for $350 to cover two athletes who aren't in a financial position to afford to go.
