Congratulations to alum Jane Hedengren on an incredible weekend at the NCAA Indoor Championships, winning two national titles and setting a meet record in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:36.61.

The Long Beach ‘A’ won the girls’ 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:39.55. “Our team comes back every year for the fun and competition of Simplot Games,” the team said. “Everyone loves us and we love them.”

D1 Elite ‘A’ from Colorado won the boys’ 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:30.50. “We never ran together before the event,” the team said. “We all just met each other on Thursday.” When asked if they would run together again next year they replied: "Absolutely."

The winners of the All Idaho 4x200-meter relay events are the Twin Falls Coyotes ‘A’ (1:33.25) and Spike Up Athletics ’A’ (1:46.96). Both teams said they had been training for the events all season and are happy to end with a win.

Long Beach Blazin Bruin ‘A’ won the girls’ 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:48.70. “We are grateful for the opportunity and for our team.”

Keiran Giraldo, a junior from Laramie, Wyo., won the girls’ 1600 meters, with a time of 4:57.58. Though she was sick last year and couldn’t make the finals, she worked hard to bounce back.

Austin Plewe, a senior from American Fork, Utah, won the boys 1600 meters with a time of 4:11.97, which is the new 7th fastest time in the nation. He said he came to Simplot Games to “shoot my shot.”

Sophia Gonzales, a senior from Laramie, Wyo., won the girls’ 3200 meters with a time of 11:02.54.

Jackson Spencer, a senior from Syracuse, Utah, won the boys 3200 meters with a time of 8:50.50. He said he was “shooting for Danny’s [Daniel Simmons] record” [of 8:48.08] but just missed. Jackson said that he loves the Games; he will run for Brigham Young next year.

A new meet record has been set at the 2026 Simplot Games! Josh Hamblin, a senior from Pleasant View, Utah, shattered his own record in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.65 seconds. He first set the mark just two days earlier during his qualifying heat.

Elizabeth Ojukwu, a junior from Elk Grove, Calif., won the girls weight throw with a distance of 49’10”. This marks the fourth year the Golden State Throwers have finished first in this event.

Jonny Parker, a junior from Kaysville, Utah, won the boys weight throw with a distance of 75’, making him 7th in the nation.

Jace Cook, a junior from Syracuse, Utah, won the boys’ shot put with a distance of 62’7.50”.

Adelyn Anderson, a senior from Lander, Wyo., won the girls’ shot put with a distance of 47’7.50”.

Allie Scribner, a senior from Casper, Wyo., won the girls’ long jump with a distance of 18’00.25”.

Eli Connelly, a senior from Washington, Utah, won the boys’ long jump with the distance of 23’00.25”.

Derrick Murphy, a senior from Cheyenne, Wyo., won the triple jump with the distance of 47’6.75”. Derrick’s distance last year was 40 feet, and he was really proud of his improvement. “Big improvement is what we like,” he said.

Lillian Micallef, a junior from Maribyrnong, Victoria, Australia, won the girls’ triple jump with a distance of 38’11”. Lillian hadn’t competed in the triple jump since last Simplot Games, but was able to finish with a PR.

Lydia Townsend, a senior from Inkom, Idaho, won the girls’ pole vault with a height of 13’. She stated that she was very confident in her training and worked hard on her speed down the runway and her swingup.

Ethan Rathke, a senior from Boulder Colorado, won the boys’ pole vault with a height of 16’07”. He said the pole vault was great but also a battle today after 11 jumps total.

Sadie Stewart, a senior from Smithfield, Utah, won the girls’ high jump, with a height of 5’09”. She is the back-to-back winner in the event, after also winning in 2025. She said she loves competing at Simplot with her friends.

Ambrose Brainard, a senior from Eagle, Idaho, won the boys’ high jump with a height of 6’09”. He felt that he felt good even though he had never done an indoor meet before.

Clara Adams, a junior from Long Beach, Calif., won the girls’ 400 meters. Her time of 54.62 seconds is the new fastest time in California and 14th in the U.S. this year. “I feel really good,” she said. “This race tells me a lot, and I have room for growth.”

Adam Nyarko, a senior from Calgary, Alberta, won the boys’ 400 meters with a time of 27.46. This was Adam’s first time at Simplot Games and said it was the craziest indoor race he’s had due to the atmosphere and competition.

Mary MacLean, a senior from Leduc, Alberta, won the girls’ 800 meters with a time of 2:12.62. Mary is now the back-to-back 800 meters champion, after winning the same event in 2025. Mary said she is nostalgic as this is her fourth and final Simplot Games. “I am trying to soak it all in,” she said. “This is my favorite meet.”

Joshua Beck, a senior from Utah County, Utah, won the boys’ 800 meters with a time of 1:53.62. Joshua’s winning time was set in an earlier heat, and no other athletes were able to catch him.
