Infinity Tech Robotics FTC 13684

Infinity Tech Robotics FTC 13684 Infinity Tech is a middle school robotics team that participates in the FIRST Tech Challenge. We represent the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools in Michigan.

FIRST Robotics
For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) is a worldwide robotics organization that was founded in 1989 by Dean Kamen. It is an organization that hosts robotics competitions worldwide. FIRST has different competition levels for various age groups. FIRST Lego League (FLL) is for Elementary school. FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), which is the competition level we c

ompete in, is for middle school students. Finally, FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is for high school students. One of the most important values of FIRST is Gracious Professionalism, which is a way of doing things that encourages high-quality work, emphasizes the value of others, and respects individuals and the community. Our Team
We are Infinity Tech, FTC Team 13684, a robotics team founded in 2017 by a group of middle schoolers at East Middle School. Our mission is to create an infinite stream of technologists who will shape the future. In the FTC program, middle schoolers build robots to perform certain challenges, which are different every year. We design, build, program, and test our designs from September, which is when the challenge is released, until November and December, when the competitions are held. At these events, we compete our robot against other teams, and we can win awards based on our robot's performance as well as innovation, professionalism, and our impact in the community. Our Impact
In addition to our core robotics work, Infinity Tech is also determined to make an impact in our community. After the COVID-19 pandemic, we were one of the few teams left out of 12 FTC teams that had previously represented the Plymouth-Canton community. As a veteran team, we decided to help start up new robotics teams in our district to introduce more kids to these STEAM opportunities. Between 2022 and 2025, we formed and mentored 8 FTC, 3 FLL Challenge teams, and 6 FLL Explore teams. We are in the process of starting even more teams for future seasons. We also collaborated with our high school team, Lightning Robotics, to organize a workshop at Canton High School for 5th graders, allowing us to introduce incoming middle-schoolers to the robotics teams. Infinity Tech also hosts one of the 12 official FTC kickoff events every September to get the competition season underway. These events allow the Plymouth-Canton school district to thrive in robotics, giving kids the skills they need going forward. Giving back to the community, we also volunteer our time at food banks and school cleanups, as well as participate in can drives. Our goal this year is to reach 500 hours of community service to show our support for the district.

Facing off against the top 340 teams selected from over 8,000 worldwide in this season’s Decode game, Infinity Tech demonstrated elite technical skill and strategic ex*****on throughout the qualification rounds. The team finished the qualification phase with a phenomenal 9-1 record, earning the rank of 3rd overall in the prestigious Jackson Division. This ranking allowed them to move into the playoff phase as the Captain of Alliance 3.

World Championship Highlights:
♾️ Division Performance: As Alliance Captains, Infinity Tech led their partners through a rigorous playoff bracket, advancing to round 3 of the Jackson Division playoffs.
♾️ Elite Statistics: Over the course of the season, the team maintained an impressive 35-10-0 overall record, including a 24-3-0 record in qualification matches at regional, state, and world levels.

Infinity Tech’s path to Houston was paved with a trail of accolades, including the 1st Place Inspire Award and Winning Alliance honors at the Royal Oak Qualifier, as well as the Innovate Award and Finalist Alliance titles at the Ann Arbor Qualifier. Is this the Droid you are looking for?

May the Fourth Be With You.

We at Infinity Tech Robotics just completed our first FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship, and it was an incredible experience for our team. We finished 9–1 in qualifications, tied for first, and became the 3rd alliance captain, ultimately advancing to Match 10 in playoffs, where we were eliminated by the eventual winner and runner-up of our division. This went beyond any expectation.

We thank all of our friends, families, supporters and sponsors for making this journey possible!

That's a Wrap! We ended our playoff run in Jackson Division match #10. Our overall record was 10-3. One match we lost to the defending champs from last year -- the amazingly nice and encouraging 11260 Up-A-Creek Robotics team -- many of whom are seniors and an average of 6 years older than our team members, so we can't be really mad about that! For sports comparisons' sake, we got to the Elite Eight or the Quarter Finals of our division our of our 55 team division (and out of 15,000 FTC teams worldwide).

We are so very proud of the team and their successes. We are grateful to all of our families, sponsors and supporters far and wide. We love the comraderie with the other Michigan teams (Extra thank you FrostRoboFalcons and Giggle Pickles). Michigan teams are the only strictly middle school teams in a sea of high schoolers and the extra challenges from the age differences are real. Our team was recognized by the judges and referees for their stand-out Gracious Professionalism and showing maturity far beyond their years. We learned so much and will grow from this experience.

Hope to see you next year Houston! ❤️♾️🤖
