Opposing sides met tonight to put a buck of a lifetime in a clients hands.

We and Nose Down Deer Recovery received a call tonight to pursue this mature whitetail. Due to the unusual experience the client had with this buck after making the shot, we decided it would be worthwhile to bring the UAV and Roxie to the site. We initially decided to track with the UAV. After approximately 35 minutes worth of searching in the brittle and windy cold the buck was located.

Ultimately, Roxie didn't make this late night trip for nothing. So, Colton decided to let Roxie work the track as a training exercise. Roxie "read the track like a book" nose down and never hesitated the entire way until her face was met with this stud whitetail expired!

To Date, this is the largest whitetail we have ever recovered! It was an honor to get the opportunity of tracking this trophy!

2/2 on this rainy evening. We found a gap in weather from 12a-4a to pursue 2 separate recoveries. One turned out to be a buck with minor injuries. Then, finished the early morning with this unique buck piled up in the scrub-brush.
