Pleasantville Trojan Boys Track & Field

Another windy night another track meet for the guys. The field events took center stage last night, highlighted by strong performances in the throws. It wasn't a great night but I am proud of the way the boys showed up to compete!

Will Mesecher had another strong showing as he continues his great Junior season winning both the Discus and the Shotput. Nathaniel Olivier and Stanton Major also had good nights, finishing 3rd and 4th respectively in the Discus and Shotput.

Trey Mesecher got his first win of the season in the Long Jump and Blake Rowson hit a career best 52.93 to finish 2nd in the 400 M Dash. Tatum Baethke was able to get 4th in the 400 as well and the 4x400 M team was our best relay finish getting 4th place with a team of Rowson, Baethke, Ryder Fouch, and Drake Elliott.

Finished the week with a bang! The boys took advantage of the great weather and scored 105 points to win the 2026 Guy Clark Relays at Central Decatur last night. We got contributions from everybody throughout the night. Some highlights and top finishers:

1st Place Finishers:
Ethan King - 100 and 200
Blake Rowson - 400
4x400M Relay - Rowson, Baethke, Fouch, King

2nd Place Finishers:
Will Mesecher - Discus and Shotput
Distance Medley Relay - Sorenson, Willoughby, Flesher, Fouch
4x100M Relay - Rowson, Baethke, Willoughby, King

3rd Place Finishers:
Nathaniel Olivier - Discus
4x200M Relay - Sorenson, Elliott, Perry, Willoughby

Other Top Finishers:
4th: Trey Mesecher (Long Jump); 5th: Stanton Major (Shotput), Tatum Baethke (200), Sprint Medley Relay (Sorenson, Perry, Flesher, Elliott); 6th: Trindon Phipps (HJ)

On top of our big point getters we also had some big PRs on the night. Nolan Fichter showed some real guts finishing his 800 in a PR of 2:26 to get 8th and a big shout out to John Metz for running his first 400M Hurdle race! John finished in 9th in arguably the toughest race in high school track!

All-in-All it was a great night for the Trojans!

After a crazy two weeks of cancellations we were able to compete against some strong competition at Pella Christian last night! Our top finishers included:

1st place:
200 M Dash - Ethan King

2nd place:
Discus - Will Mesecher (New School Record!)
Shotput - Will Mesecher
100 M Dash - Ethan King

3rd place:
4x200 M Relay - Blake Rowson, Nolan Perry, Tatum Baethke, King
Sprint Medley - Cale Sorenson, Trevor Willoughby, Braylon Bingham, Rowson

We are looking forward to another nice night tomorrow at Central Decatur!
