Carpe Diem Carpe Noctem is canceled, but we still want to get your race swag to you.

Due to severe storm damage and the closure of Hagan-Stone Park, the 2026 event has been canceled and will not be rescheduled. We know this is disappointing, and we appreciate your patience as we work through the next steps.

If you are picking up your packet in person, here's where to go:

Your packet will include your hoodie and medal, so if you were looking forward to your Carpe Diem Carpe Noctem gear, come see us Friday.

If you can't make it Friday, Fleet Feet will hold your packet for one week.

Out-of-state participants will have their packets mailed, and NC participants who live more than 45 miles from Fleet Feet can email [email protected] to arrange mailing.

We know this isn't the weekend we planned, but we still want you to have the gear you signed up for.

The club deadline has passed, but there’s still time to get your crew together for race day.

VBC Run Club has earned their tent and will have a home base at Hagan Stone Park on September 12.

This is your sign.

Your final headcount helps build the atmosphere on race day, and there's still time to add another teammate to the starting line.

Tag the person from your club who needs a little nudge.

We're almost there.

In less than two weeks, Hagan Stone Park is going to look a little different.

Trails full of runners. Friends cheering from the sidelines. Race-day nerves. Finish-line celebrations. Clubs gathered together. Food being shared. And a whole lot of time spent outside doing what we came here to do.

You've been training for it. You've been talking about it. You've been counting down. Now it's almost time to seize the day.

September 12 is coming. We'll see you at Hagan Stone Park.

We're starting a new Carpe Diem Carpe Noctem tradition. 🍔🌭

This year, we're adding a community potluck to race day.

Between the morning and evening races, we'll have a chance to slow down, grab a plate, and spend some time together at Hagan-Stone Park.

Trivium is bringing the main spread:
🍔 Burgers
🌭 Hotdogs
🧋 Iced tea + lemonade

We're asking our runners, volunteers, families, friends, and spectators to bring a side or dessert to share.

Running one race? Both? Volunteering? Just coming out to cheer? You're invited. Want to bring something? Sign up on our potluck Google Sheet through our website.

The sign-up deadline is September 7.

This is our first Trivium NC potluck, and we're excited to see what we can build together.

Come for the race. Stay for the day. Bring something good to share.

One of the best things about Carpe Diem Carpe Noctem?

You're not just packing for a race. You're packing for a full day on the trails.

Here's what we'd toss in the car before heading to Pleasant Garden:

☀️ A camp chair for relaxing between races
💧 Plenty of water and your favorite hydration mix
🥪 Snacks or lunch to keep your energy up
🧢 Hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen
👟 A change of shoes and dry clothes
🧦 Extra socks (your feet will thank you!)
🔦 A headlamp if you're running Carpe Noctem or taking on the Double
😊 Your friends, your family, or your favorite training partners

Most importantly, bring a little extra time.

Take a nap in the shade. Cheer on other runners. Meet someone new. Swap trail stories. Slow down and enjoy the atmosphere between races.

That's what makes Carpe Diem Carpe Noctem different.

Clubs have until 5 PM TODAY to reach 10+ registered runners and earn their Club Cup race day perks, including a reserved tent space for your team.

If your club is close, this is the time to make one last push.

Carpe Diem Carpe Noctem is a whole day. Come for your race, then stick around.

Bring a chair. Pack some food. Find your friends. Cheer for the runners coming through. Hang out between events. Swap stories, grab a snack, and enjoy being outside with a bunch of people who also really like running on trails.

There's no need to rush home when you cross the finish line.

Run your race. Stay for the day.
