The Moonlight Bootlegger 5K is a night time trail race in which runners strap on a headlamp and run through the candle lit woods.

Run like a bootlegger in Greensboro, NC or Northville, MI! 🌙🏃 This is a moonlit summer 5K run with trails, moonshine cocktails, bluegrass music, and a race atmosphere you don’t want to miss. 🎵 They are rewarded for their hard work (and bravery) with moonshine cocktails and live bluegrass music at the finish line! This event is for runners of all fitness levels and age groups and all we ask is that you have a great time!

We’re hiring part-time Race Crew for Michigan and North Carolina events in 2026! 🙌

If you love the energy of race day, don’t mind early mornings, and want a hands-on role that makes a real impact, we’d love to have you on the team.

We’re looking for:
• High-energy, reliable crew members
• Weekend availability
• People who enjoy working with volunteers and keeping race day running smoothly

We’re also looking to fill a few specialty roles (training provided!):
• Timing setup + scoring
• Course management
• Volunteer recruitment

📍 Location: After 10+ years, we’re returning to Hagan-Stone Park! These trails are perfect for nighttime running—low on roots, with rolling hills, and plenty of adventure.

🎶 Race Experience: Miles will be guided by music, and nearly 300 LED tea lights will light your way. Turns will be clearly marked with signs, so you can focus on the fun! 💡
