Dallas Montessori Teacher Education Program- AMS Teachers Training The Dallas Montessori Teacher Education Program (DMTEP) are designed to educate private and public school teachers in Montessori strategies and philosophy.

The Dallas Montessori Teacher Education Programs (DMTEP) are designed to educate private and public school teachers in Montessori strategies and philosophy. Dr. Maria Montessori insisted that the purpose of education is LIFE. DMTEP prepares teachers to assist children in the development of the human mind through academics and aesthetic study, and the development of social skills in preparation for

their roles in society. James and Dina Paulik are also co-directors of the Dallas Montessori Teacher Education Programs (DMTEP). The programs are affiliated by the American Montessori Society which issues certificates to the graduating teachers. Aspiring teachers from across the United States and some foreign countries enroll in the training programs. Dallas Montessori Teacher Education Program is MACTE accredited.

Educators from across Texas and beyond. One shared purpose.

This weekend we welcomed part of the Dallas Montessori Teacher Education Program 2026 cohort. A group of dedicated educators beginning their Montessori teacher education journey together.

While many participants come from schools throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area, our cohorts also bring together educators who travel from other regions and neighboring states to study Montessori here. What connects them is a shared commitment to understanding the child and strengthening Montessori education in their communities.

It is always inspiring to see educators come together with curiosity, reflection, and a deep dedication to their work with children.

What a powerful day of leadership, reflection, and growth!

This week, our Program Director, Athirai Baskaran, had the privilege of inspiring school leaders during a dynamic leadership workshop on:

The Lifelong Learning Culture and Scaling School Excellence

In this engaging session, Athirai shared the Montessori-informed Lead Learner Framework, guiding leaders to rethink what it truly means to lead in today’s educational landscape.

Rather than focusing only on systems and strategy, the conversation centered on something deeper:

• Leadership begins with preparation of the adult
• Culture shifts when leaders model learning first
• Excellence scales when growth becomes visible and intentional
• Sustainable school transformation starts from within

Participants explored how a lifelong learning culture is not a program to implement, but a mindset to embody. When leaders become active learners, reflective practitioners, and models of emotional regulation and curiosity, school culture evolves naturally and sustainably.

The workshop emphasized practical action steps school heads can implement immediately to build psychological safety, strengthen adult learning systems, and align instructional excellence across campuses.

We are proud to see Dallas Montessori Teacher Education Program extending its impact beyond the classroom, supporting leaders who are committed to elevating Montessori education with integrity and purpose.

Leadership is not a position.
It is a daily practice of growth.

Thank you to the dedicated school leaders who continue choosing excellence.
