A bittersweet weekend for us. We took our last laps at Little Kalamazoo Speedway Quarter Midget Club for our quarter midget career. 🥹
We announced our intent to retire this year. 💜

While we didn’t take the checkered flag on our last race, we did take it on our LKS career. 🏁
It’s been an amazing 3 years for us. We’ve appreciated everyone’s support and encouragement. It’s time to move onto new adventures. ☀️

This weekend on Friday night we took 2nd in Heavy 160 (after leading the class feature for most of the race, losing it in the last few laps 😔) and 2nd in Heavy Honda (just ran for fun). Saturday we took 3rd in Heavy 160.

👏🏼 We have 2 more travel races with the Midwest Thunder .25 Quarter Midget Racing Series coming up though, and then end of year banquets, so we aren’t completely finished just yet. Stay tuned for those updates! 📣

📣🗓️ This week, Friday night and Saturday are our last local competitive club races at Little Kalamazoo Speedway!! This is your last chance in 2026 to come out and watch Molly race, so get your backside trackside! 🏁

We got one of our motors back from BRE yesterday. Come see Molly fly around the track with this purple machine! 💜

Well, we didn’t know exactly how this weekend would go since we didn’t really have experience or knowledge with this car, but we did what we could.

Friday Hvy160 ended in 4th, Saturday ended in 5th. 🏁

It was quite a different feeling car setup for Molly, so we focused on having fun with it. Gene busted out the ‘wavy arm guy’ costume to push her off during Saturday’s feature. After the races, the racers participated in a where kids quickly evacuated their cars to practice for a fire or emergency situation in honor of a racer who recently had a serious accident. Then we had a water balloon fight on the track. To finish off the weekend, we had a potluck and lots of karaoke! Such a fun weekend. We even had some hot air balloon visitors come over us!

This weekend Molly will be running one of Carson Hocevar’s quarter midget cars at our home track!

Both of our motors are getting some work done at BRE before the next MWT, so we are lucky to be able to keep racing this weekend and run this car instead! 🏎️🏁

Races are Friday night and Saturday! It’s free to spectate at Little Kalamazoo Speedway Quarter Midget Club, so come on out! 👏🏼

This past weekend was a rollercoaster of emotions. So many good moments with some hard ones.

Thursday we went to Lansing to get a flat track set up on the car. With Anthony and Myles (Ozzymoto Sports) help, we figured out how to get Molly moving! She looked great!

Friday, we headed to Midwest Thunder Round 4 - Kokomo, IN.

Saturday: Heavy 160
Practice looked good in the morning, but by the time Heats came, the track had already warmed up and made it feel different. We started P5 and ended P6. She still looked good out there- we just had some tough competition. We started P2 in the C main, but was unfortunately spun out and also pushed into a wall, causing the rear axel to bend/break. The car was tough to handle after that and we ended the day in 6th, missing the transfer to the B.

Motor swapped and fixed parts on the car to move onto Sunday: Unrestricted Animal
Practice looked better than Saturday, so we were hopeful of a good outcome. Started P5, ended P6 (lots of good driving though). C main again (which was one race after we had just gotten off the track, so no prep time for changes), started P6 and finished P3! Moved onto the B main which was one race after we got off the track (so again, no time to clean tires or make any changes needed), starting P9. She was doing great until 3 laps to go, and she lost all motor power! We ended up having to come off the track and weren’t able to finish, so we ended in P10. 😔 After checking the motor back in the trailer, it would seem that something is wrong internally, so it’s finished for the season unfortunately.

So disappointing when Molly had made so much progress this weekend. We are thankful for the help Myles and Anthony did for us.

We have a club race this weekend at LKS. Going to run the Heavy 160 classes.
