FALL SHOOTOUT RECAP: Cedar Lake Arena Kart Racing

Wellllll… the final results weren't exactly what Team 45 had hoped for!
One 7th place and three 8th place finishes weren't the numbers we were chasing, BUT don't let those finishes fool you… we had PLENTY to celebrate this weekend AND had a BLAST!
🏁 QUALIFYING BREAKTHROUGH! Kennedy has never been a fan of qualifying, but she made HUGE strides this weekend! She even qualified herself into a 4th place starting spot for one of the features!
⏱️ NEW PERSONAL BEST! She laid down a 9.97-second lap! Faster than some of the Sportsman laps!😳
🔧 KART SURVIVED! We made it through the entire weekend with NO significant kart damage! And if you know Cedar Lake… you KNOW that's practically a podium finish all by itself! 🤣🤣

The SPEED was there to run up front, but finding the right lines and putting together consistent laps is something that only comes with SEAT TIME and EXPERIENCE in that building! Racing in the middle of the pack against some of the BEST OF THE BEST felt pretty darn good for Team 45! 💪

❤️ A HUGE thank you to the Laukaitis Racing Inc, Evelyn Hess Racing, Zegers Motorsports, and Boldt Racing crews for making our pit area such a fun and educational place to be! The friendships, laughs, shared knowledge, and camaraderie are what make weekends like this so special! Also big THANKS to Dave & Kristine Antczak Schroeder for the visit!

Going to do a little "mom brag" moment that will probably make Kennedy mad but 🤷‍♀️🤣

She is not really excited about the educational part of school, never "liked" Math until coming to Almond last year (clarification: started school in Almond 2 years ago, but took a bit of a shine to Math because of the teacher last year), AND is NOT a good test taker!

Well, this screenshot speaks VOLUMES on her test today! THIS is a result of setting the bar high, offering help, and sticking to our guns...good grades or you DON'T GO KARTING!💪💪 Off to Cedar Lake Arena Kart Racing we go!🏁🏁

Mentally preparing for the LAST race of the season this weekend has been a bit more emotional than we truly anticipated. Looking back on the last 6 months of CRAZY one thing stands out. How VERY THANKFUL we are to each and every individual involved in the 6 tracks we were blessed to visit in 2026!
