CCSU Assistant Coach Darren is putting together a Boy's Futsal team.
Futsal is like indoor soccer and is a great way to quickly increase speed of play and tactical play for outdoor soccer. This is a very casual league that he also played in when he was in school, and he loved it.
The league is in Montpelier, starts the first week of March on Sundays (March 1). This does overlap with basketball by a week, so the second Futsal game will be the day after we see the basketball championship, if any of those player would like to join the team as well they are most welcome. They play one 60 minute long game in the morning/early afternoon. The cost is about $100/player for a 7 week league. Coach is working on a casual practice for the team once a week in the Cabot gym but that hasn't coming together yet.
