๐ŸŒŸ Player Introduction: Zaim Sharafee ( #17)

Weโ€™re proud to introduce Zaim Sharafee, one of the earliest members of AFG BOYS SC and a standout talent both on and off the field.

Zaim began playing soccer in his childhood in Afghanistan, and his passion only grew stronger after moving to the United States. From his very first year of high school, he earned a spot as a varsity starter at West Mifflin Area High School. By his senior year, he was named Team Captain and was selected to the prestigious AAA All-Section Team for his exceptional performance.

For AFG BOYS SC, Zaim plays as a striker, wearing number 17, and draws inspiration from his favorite player, Neymar Jr.

Off the field, Zaim is just as impressive. He maintains a 3.8 GPA and plans to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant in university. His discipline, intelligence, and leadership make him an incredible asset to our club.

What a match. What a fight. What a WIN.

AFG Boys SC came out with heart today and earned a hardโ€‘fought 5โ€“4 victory over Blackout FC. Both teams played with intensity from the first whistle to the last, and the game had everything โ€” goals, pressure, teamwork, and pure passion for the sport.

Our boys showed real character, staying composed and pushing through until the final moments. It was the kind of match you feel, not just watch. We enjoyed every minute of it.

First game of the season and the boys showed heart. We went into halftime down 3โ€“0, but once we settled in, we fought back hard and finished with a 5โ€“5 draw.

Player Introduction: Akhtar Hussain Mohammadi

We are proud to introduce Akhtar Hussain Mohammadi, one of the most talented players on our roster. His soccer journey began in Afghanistan, where he was born and raised.

From a young age, Akhtar was passionate about the game. Growing up in the west side of Kabul, he started playing soccer as a child and quickly showed his skill. He later moved into futsal, training under Coach Jawad and competing with teams such as Masaf, Sadaqat, Almanar, and Kawsar.

Because of his talent and dedication, Akhtar earned a spot on the Afghanistan National Football Team for the U-12 and U-13 categories in 2014 and 2015.

Although personal challenges caused him to step away from soccer for a time, his love for the sport never faded. After moving to the United States, Akhtar returned to the field with renewed energy and quickly secured a starting position with the AFG Boys team.

We are honored to have Akhtar with us. His hard work, passion, and commitment inspire us all.
