As Bear Creek Arsenal released their new .22 WMR upper, I have been getting a bunch of questions about functionality between it and the Catch22.

Out of the box, the Catch22 doesn't work with the .22 WMR uppers. The design is different enough from a .22lr upper/bolt to cause some issues. The Catch22 can be modified to work with these uppers though.

Essentially, the top tab just needs to be shortened for clearance. This will require filing to make it work with the upper, but there’s at least a path forward.
086" needs to be shaved off of the tab on the bolt catch.
The picture below represents the final measurement of the part after it was trimmed down, before modification it measured .316”

We're looking into making some dedicated catches for these uppers as well, but currently filing down the catch is the best path forward. Stay tuned for more updates!

I have been getting a bunch of questions about if the Catch22 will work with the new Bear Creek Arsenal .22lr uppers (https://www.bearcreekarsenal.com/calibers/ar-22/ar-22-complete-uppers/22-long-16-parkerized-barrel-1-16-twist-15-mlok-scg2.html) and it's now confirmed that the Catch22 will work with these without any modification.

If you're in the market for a new .22lr upper, take a look at these and grab one before they're all sold out. They look like a ton of fun!

Hey everyone!

I have a small initial batch of the Catch22 V2s that are available before the full production batch (which we're currently targeting for ~October).

Here's a link to the V2 catch on the site. It's unlisted on the main site currently so you won't be able to get there straight from the product listing.

This catch will be able to slip over your stock .223 catch in order to function with .22lr bolts. No more need to swap the full bolt catch if you want to go between .22 and .223.

For a true last-round-hold-open, I recommend combining this with S&W 15-22 magazines and my clip-on or stick-on adapters.
