Steel City Athletics Sullivan at the pirate game!! Remember it is not goodbye it is see you later. Thank you for the best ride of my softball life. You all made it worth it. Coach Shannon Loves You Always and forever. To my parents, coaches and families your are my softball family forever. I would never have wanted to do this with anyone else.

We came up just short in the Championship game at the North American All Sanctioned World Series, finishing as the Over 18 Platinum Division Runner-Up with a hard-fought 6-5 loss. While the ending wasn’t what we had hoped for, this team put together an incredible weekend, finishing 6-1 and proving just how special this group is.

Offensively, the bats were on fire as the team blasted 13 home runs. Emma Smerick and Breonna Marietta each hit four home runs, while Delaney Haller delivered a memorable grand slam on Saturday. Additional home runs came from Jenna Clontz, Kylee Piconi (2), and Emma Paul.

As a team, we scored 57 runs, drove in 53 RBIs, and allowed just 21 runs, with only 10 earned. Our pitching trio of Delaney Haller, Caitlin Morey, and Morgan Walt combined for a stellar 1.75 ERA over 40 innings pitched. Behind the plate, Abbie Keilholz and Athena Iverson were outstanding, shutting down the running game with several runners caught stealing and providing steady leadership all weekend.

Most importantly, this weekend was about more than wins and statistics. It was about celebrating 13 unforgettable years together. We laughed, we played, we made memories that will last a lifetime, and we cherished every final moment as teammates. This team will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you to our families, coaches, and everyone who supported us throughout this incredible journey.

Who knows…. while this is the end of our ride you never know when a reunion tour in an open division may bring them all back together. But that’s a story for another chapter…..Once Steel City, always Steel City. 🖤💛🥎
