Brentwood Firecracker 5k

Brentwood Firecracker 5k Local 5k Race in Brentwood, PA. Held on the 4th of July from 9am-11am. The Brentwood Firecracker 5k Run was the dream of the late Mayor Jim Joyce and Jim Rohm.

The race kicked off the huge celebration and provided additional revenue for the parade/fireworks. When former Mayor Ron Arnoni and Race Director Janice Boyko assumed the leadership in 1998, the tradition continued. Each year the race has donated a sizeable contribution to the 4th of July Committee and rotating charities (Special Olympics, American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, MS

, and the Salvation Army, to name a few). When Mayor Ken Lockhart came aboard, we continued to provide a first class event and distribute our proceeds. Since 2007, we have donated to the 4th of July Committee as well as local organizations - Brentwood Library, Food Pantry, Fire Department, EMS and Drop the Puck on Cancer.

Please Park at Baldwin High School on race day.
4653 Clairton Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.

A shuttle will be provided, running between Baldwin High School and Brentwood Towne Square to make traffic and parking easier for everyone!

The shuttle will run between 7am-11:30am. 🚌

While some street parking and spaces within Brentwood Towne Square are available, please remember that businesses will be open, and many spots are reserved for employees and customers.
