Sign-ins & Entry Fee:
Tournaments are generally held every Wednesday at 7:45 sharp unless otherwise stated. The Tournament Director can choose to delay the start for any reason. Any changes to the schedule (day or time) will be announced via our page . Players who do not sign in by 7:45 (or other stated start time) will still be allowed to participate, but will start with 1 or 2 strikes based on the current round. Contact the Tournament Director via Facebook if you're running late and your options will be explained. Entry fee is $5.00. 100% of the entry fees will be paid out to the winners. If under 30 participants, the top 3 win cash. If over 30 participants, the top 4 win cash. If more than 40 people show up to play, the Tournament Director may choose to limit the amount of participants based on a first-come, first served basis. Overview & Format:
Three strike knockout. Random player seeding; Swiss pairing. Extra balls are not to be played. You are allowed to setup any skill shot prior to plunging, but once the ball is plunged, you may not touch the machine at all. Certain games may require a second or third plunge if an appropriate amount of targets were not hit. Always wait to see if the saved ball will auto-plunge before touching the machine. For the first round, players will be placed randomly into groups of 2* and a random machine will be drawn. Player order is to be determined fairly within the group ('rock, paper, scissors' or a coin toss.) At the end of the game, the player with the lowest score will receive 1 strike, while the player with the highest score will receive no strikes**.

**See exceptions below.**

For every round after the first, players will be paired against players with the same win-loss record. An attempt will be made to pair players against previously unfaced opponents if possible. Machines will be chosen with a balanced attempt to assign machines played the fewest times by each player in the group. You may end up playing the same machine several times during the tournament. Machine choice may be changed manually by the Tournament Director for the sake of time or if the chosen machine has been showing signs of malfunction. Machines may be added or removed by the Tournament Director during the tournament based on functionality. Once a player reaches 3 strikes, they are done playing and will be ranked appropriately. Play will continue until only 1 person is left. The top 3 or 4 players (based on attendance) will be ranked and receive a cash prize. In the case of an uneven amount of participants, a player may receive a bye round where the player does not play. Byes count as a full win and do not result in a strike. In the case of too few machines for each group, some machines may be "double booked" with groups. The two groups will share a machine, but only focus on their partner's score. Group one will play 1st and 2nd position while group two plays 3rd and 4th position. It is the responsibility of EACH player in the group to report their win/loss to the Tournament Director or Official after each round. One person may elect to report all wins/losses for the group. Failure to report your win/loss will be considered delay of game and could result in a penalty. EXCEPTIONS:
*Based on the amount of participants, players may be drawn into groups of 3 or 4 instead of 2. Each player will be playing against the entire group. In groups of 4, the 2 lowest scores receive strikes while the 2 highest receive no strikes. In groups of 3, the 2 lowest scores receive strikes while the 1 highest score receives no strikes. Once the pairing format is set, it will remain the same through out the tournament.

**A player may receive a strike even with a higher score due to penalty for breaking the rules or unsportsmanlike conduct. For more information, see Player Conduct and Rules below. Player Conduct and Rules:
Unless otherwise noted, general player misconduct will be met with 1 warning before a penalty is issued. Breaking the rules below will result in an immediate strike or disqualification (for serious infractions) with no warning. Common courtesy is expected. Racism, sexism, homophobia, and any sort of discrimination will not be tolerated and will result in immediate disqualification. For the love of pinball do not say, "I can't believe I got beat by a girl." Yea, girls play pinball too and are just as good as everybody else. Treat participants, officials, machines, Kickback staff, and customers with respect. If a customer (non-participant) is playing a machine that you have been drawn to play, allow them to finish their game with no interference. After they are finished, you can then explain the situation and ask to play the game. If it becomes a time-issue, the Tournament Director may chose a new machine to be played. Know your opponent and other participants before you try any of the following: coaching, insults, and general sh*t-talking. Some players may not appreciate it, even if it seems helpful or humorous to you. If any player is overly rude or makes you uncomfortable, let the Tournament Director or Official know. Appropriate action will be taken. Do not let it result in an argument or fight. Any heated argument or fight will result in immediate disqualification for everybody involved, no matter who started it. Again, see the Tournament Director or Official before it reaches that point. Warn-able Offenses:
Most offenses will be met with a single warning. Any additional offenses will result in further penalties. This is not a complete list. Warnings/Strikes/Disqualification rulings are at the hands of the Tournament Director and Official. Unwanted coaching during gameplay. Unwanted conversation during gameplay. Standing too close to a player or machine that it affects gameplay or movement. Unwarranted attitude towards players or officials. Yelling at players for any reason. If somebody does something you don't like, kindly tell them first. If it happens again, let the Tournament Director or Official know. Generally being a jerk. Not reporting your win/loss after gameplay. Don't be afraid to let somebody know, even your friend, if they are doing something that you do not like or is against the rules. Everybody's' play preferences change through out the game/night/week, so somebody who is usually talkative might want to concentrate on their game instead. Not everybody can pickup on verbal or physical clues, so if you don't want somebody talking or bothering you, speak up. Strike-able offenses:
This is a general list of offenses that will result in an automatic strike with no warning. Hitting the machine in anyway not part of normal gameplay (punching, kicking, slamming the glass, etc.) Rage tilts. Slam tilts. Excessive machine shaking after a ball has drained. Intentionally interfering with someone else's game. This includes touching a machine that is being played by another player and purposefully touching a player while they are playing. It's a tight spot and accidents do happen, so not every little bump is malicious. If something does happen, find an Official. Playing an extra ball (includes touching the machine after plunging it.) Playing somebody else's ball. Delay of game. After groups are drawn, any excessive delay of 5 minutes or more will result in a strike for that match and the game will not be played. Disqualify-able Offenses:
This is not a complete list. Seriously abusing a machine. This includes lifting it off the ground, slamming it into another machine or wall, or anything that causes physical damage to it. Fighting. Getting kicked out of, or being asked to leave, Kickback. Any sort of discrimination or hate speech. Unauthorized adjustment of scores/strikes/machine choice. Receiving 3 strikes in one night for breaking the rules or misconduct will disqualify you from the next week's tournament. Excessive warnings could result in disqualification. Machine issues, and malfunctions will follow PAPA rules. For complete rules, visit www.PAPA.org. The Tournament Director has the right to change or update these rules at their discretion as long as it is not a clear abuse of power or for the advantage of certain people.
