I’ve never been a huge runner or ever thought I’d see myself completing a half marathon anything. After completing a 10k and 15k race last year I thought the next natural step was to commit to a 21k OCR. This was my first Spartan race and by FAR the most physically challenging event I’ve done yet. When I tell you my legs burned for over half this race, they never stopped. This was equally fun as it was challenging and everyone who completed this course is a badass in my book. Shout out to Ultra Sarah for saving me with mustard packets half way through and making for good convo amidst the suffering. There’s few things you can count on for an OCR and that is that there will be mud, you will be exhausted, it will be painful, you will meet great people, and you will be better for it.

Thank you for the greatest challenge yet. I can’t wait for another. Just after my legs recover 😂

This is a before and after of my cousin . I’ve been providing him with workouts and coaching this last half year. Dudes only 16 and started lifting consistently March 2022. Starting weight of 130lbs and a max bench of 130lbs at 5’7”.
Second pic is now with him weighing 150lbs and a max bench of 185lbs just 5 months later. Jayden races dirt bikes and has been able to throw his bike around more easily with the added strength so not only is he getting stronger but also more functionally capable for daily activities! Keep it up buddy 💪🏼

Leg day done✔️

It was the first time I hit some hack squats like this and it felt great. Also, this movement may be easier on your knees than many other quad focused exercises. Give this a try on your next leg day 💪🏼
