The Lakota Tech Tatanka are gearing up to face off against the #2 rated team in the state at the Hoop City Classic on December 31st. With 10 underclassmen on the roster, this game will be a huge test for the young squad. The game will be held at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD, and can be livestreamed on Liveticket for $14.99. Tip-Off is set for 10:30am Central Standard Time.

Oglala County school district is within a county of 2,000 square miles and is located on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. The district’s newly built Lakota Tech High School was Dr. Fairbanks’ last construction project in 2021. Designed to empower students with career training and certifications, Lakota Tech was the first Native American Career Technical Education Public High School built on a reservation in the United States.
Lakota Tech High School started out as a dream and many school board members, community members, staff and students helped make this dream a reality.
Dr Fairbanks is very thankful to all who are making Lakota Tech a great high school with great students. It’s been an honor for him to be on the team to help build this beautiful school.

Dr. Fairbanks shares a word of encouragement and talks about his vision becoming a reality with the 2025 LNI Boyd basketball team.
