Pike Road VEX Robotics

Pike Road VEX Robotics The Pike Road Robotics program has a strong track record of success, with multiple teams qualifying for state and world championships.

The Pike Road Robotics program is dedicated to fostering skills in STEM fields through participation in the VEX Robotics program, a globally recognized competition platform that serves students from elementary through university levels. Within VEX Robotics, students engage in hands-on engineering experiences by designing, building, and programming robots to complete various game-based challenges.

These competitions are structured to encourage innovation, teamwork, and perseverance, with opportunities for students to showcase their skills on regional, state, national, and even international stages. At Pike Road, students participate in both VEX IQ (for junior high students) and VEX VRC (for junior high and high school students), each offering unique challenges tailored to different age groups and skill levels. The program emphasizes not only technical proficiency in areas like coding and mechanics but also vital soft skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership. Guided by a team of dedicated coaches, students learn to manage time, communicate effectively, and adapt to unexpected challenges—skills that serve them well beyond robotics. In addition to competition, students are encouraged to mentor younger teams, volunteer at events, and participate in community outreach, helping to inspire the next generation of engineers, programmers, and innovators. AUBIE2 WON WORLDS!! 🎉🎉🎉

One of our VEXU teams, AUBIE2 competed and WON at the VEX World Championship in St. Louis, Missouri. This is a HUGE accomplishment, as they faced teams from around the globe in one of the largest and most competitive robotics competitions in the world! Congratulations!

The PRS Robotics Team competed at Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School today. Everyone did a fantastic job! The Encrypted Crabs came in 3rd place in finals in the IQ competition with a wopping 111 points! Our 3 V5 teams made it to the 1st round of finals, and Mechanized Metal made it all the way to the Semifinals! I’m so proud of our teams!

Next Saturday the V5 teams will be competing in Phenix City.

I was very proud of our teams today! Pike Road was very well represented at Prattville Jr. High. Encrypted Fragments went to finals and ended ranked 9 overall in this tournament. Code-a-Cola came away with the Innovate Award! Thank you to all of the relatives who came out to support and encourage us. No practice this week. Go Patriots!

We had our first V5RC Robotics tournament today at LAMP! Our teams showed incredible poise, determination, and maturity throughout the day. Mechanized Metal made it all the way to the semifinals and lost in a nail-biter — we’re so proud of their hard work and grit!

I’m proud of all of our students and can’t wait to see what the rest of the season brings. A huge thank-you to our parents for showing up and supporting our learners — we appreciate you! 💙❤️
