Takusan Training Academy

Takusan Training Academy Master Stephen Rockwell has been teaching martial arts for 62 years. Born in San Mateo, California. His dad was an Air Force pilot stationed in Tachikawa, Japan.

At the age of 3, he and his mom traveled by boat to Japan to join dad. Living in a Japanese community is what began Master Rockwell's journey in his field. At age 7, it was a standard way of life to begin training to build character, confidence and foundational outlook on life itself to live in harmony with society. It was mandatory to learn a martial art in the school system followed by further training as students progressed in grades. This is what made him to who he is today.

Had a great class last night at the YMCA... working first form and then line movements. Great training for motor and coordination skills as well as body fitness. Really helps to keen focus and concentration skills. Exercises mental capacity to awareness. Come join us Tuesdays at 6:30 and Thursdays at 7:30. Also we will begin a Self Defense class for Women ...8 week class starting September 4th.. Wednesdays at 6:30 Class fee is $120.00.. 2 hour classes each week...🥵

Our martial arts programs allows students to learn self defense, build confidence, discipline and leadership skills as they can apply in every facet of their lives. Our one on one approach focuses on each student's needs to succeed.
