This is a pretty solid read on Situational Awareness. Being aware of your surroundings is not just a tactical skill. It definitely applies to our everyday lives. Everyone uses it to some degree (checking your mirrors while driving)However few people think about it in depth and work to develop it. Its a skill that can be honed and used by anyone man,woman,young or old.

Take some time and give it a read. Then next time your going about your daily activities try not to get sucked into one thing such as your cell phone. I think you'll be amazed at the things you notice around you.
