2026 👀 dat you?

Block One starts tomorrow.

Here’s what that actually means.

This block is about fundamentals.
Strength basics.
Moving well.
Building consistency.

No maxing.
No crazy volume.
No “prove it” workouts.

We’re laying a foundation so the rest of the year actually works.

Show up. Learn the movements. Get a little stronger each week. Build the habit.

That’s it.

Pivot 🌿

In September I launched Rooted and Able with five different tracks. However, after a few months now, there’s been low participation in two of the tracks. So I’ve decided to retire Clean and Called (oly) and Rooted Mama (pregnancy & pp).

This way I can stay focused on the core tracks, Rooted Strength (full gym), Everyday Able (at home) and Run the Race (endurance).

Programming alone takes a lot of time as I’m very intentional about how I build it out. Ain’t no Chat GPT here. And unfortunately, AI hasn’t been able to figure out how to upload a spreadsheet into SugarWOD for me so I’ve decided to outsource the tedious work.

Sometimes I question if it’s worth the time, but have to remember that this is another way for me to serve God. He has asked me to do this, and until He says “lay it down” I need to continue to be obedient in what He’s asked of me.

I’m gonna have to make the reel that’s going around that’s like “aren’t you embarrassed you only have a few hundred followers and still try to sell a program?” And the next text says “yes actually please like this video” 😂😂😂

Kidding, kind of. 😅 Sometimes I have to put my pride aside and remember who I’m serving. Cause He’s worth every second of my time even if I don’t earn a single penny.

All that to say - PIVOTTTT 🌿

Now we focus on core programming and less stress on my plate. Thanks for being here, for those of you who are current athletes and for giving me grace as I shift this programming to be more fit for purpose.

Weekend getaway with the man I fall more in love with every year that passes by.

We run life 110%, full speed. Taylor’s job has him traveling and working constantly. My job is full days and travel as well. Paired with three kids, and two side businesses. Our time is the most valuable asset we have.

It is critical that we prioritize our marriage.

We’ve walked through quite a few different seasons together. We’ve grown, failed, achieved, lost, and yet somehow we still manage to like each other most days.

A value I’ve come to really embrace is a sequenced order of my priorities.

God first. When I tend to my relationship with God, I notice overflow in all other areas of my life. When I put my relationship with God on a shelf, I notice lack, and life seems to be a bit more challenging.

Marriage second. When we prioritize our marriage, we’re better parents, we’re better leaders, we serve each other and others better.

Kids next. Our kids are our greatest discipleship. Raising Godly men with an unbeatable work ethic is tough work, but work the Lord trusted us to accomplish.

Everything else comes last. When I keep my priorities in this order, everything else seems to fall in line.

Don’t wait as long as we did to spend a weekend away together. God may just show up and remind you how beautiful your marriage and life really is.

God > Marriage > Kids > Everything Else

Hi, I’m Coach Britt 👋🏼

A daughter of the King, wife, mama of three wild boys, coach, corporate girly, and the creator of Rooted & Able. This is a space where faith and fitness come together. My heart and extra calling is to help women strengthen both their body and faith so they can show up able for what God’s called them to.

I believe movement is worship, discipline is devotion, and the strongest version of you is the one rooted in Him.

I started coaching in 2019, and started my own business, AK Mama. I focused on coaching pregnant and postpartum athletes in person. Of course, life pivoted a few times and I landed my dream career here in Alaska so I stepped away from in person coaching until God gave me fresh ideas to recreate this calling of mine.

Anywho - that’s how Rooted and Able was created. I’m just here to share my life, and write some workout programming that honors God. If I’m the only one who ever uses Rooted and Able that’s fine by me, just doing what the Lord asked me to do and trusting He has a plan for this page and the work I’m putting in is for His glory, not mine.

When the Lord hand picks your best friends. 🤝🏻

I cannot emphasize the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people. People who pray for you when you’re struggling, who drop dinner when the weeks been long, who are your emergency contacts at your kids school… etc.

So humbly blessed to have these women in my corner and grateful to be walking out life together.
