Central Bucks Karate Club The Central Bucks Karate Club is a Shotokan Karate Club training at Solutions Fitness and Med Spa, under the chief instruction of Sensei David Liddle.

Sensei Liddle has been training in Shotokan Karate since 1990 and currently holds the rank of 5th Degree Black Belt. He received his First Degree Black Belt (Shodan) in 1993. He is a member of The Shotokan Karate Association
(SKA) which was founded by Sensei Hodgkiss and Sensei Shea. Sensei Shea has been Sensei Liddle’s instructor and
mentor for over eighteen years. Sensei Shea retired in 2002 a

nd honored Sensei Liddle by presenting him with the
Central Bucks Karate Club and a mission to continue the tradition and values that made the club so successful over
the past 41 years. Sensei Liddle has been teaching since 1993 and working with children and adults, teaching them the history and
philosophy as well as the art of Shotokan Karate, building confidence and self-esteem. The students learn to believe
in themselves. Sensei Liddle believes that his work in Karate has been very important to the community. Sensei
Liddle has competed in 35 tournaments and won 78 metals over the years. He continues to compete in one or two
tournaments each year. In 1999, Sensei Liddle qualified and competed in the AAU National Championships at
Disney’s Wide World of Sports, Orlando Florida and won Silver in Weapons, Silver in Kata and Bronze in Sparring. He again qualified and competed in the 2000 AAU National championships in Richmond, Virginia where he won
Silver in weapons, Bronze in Kata, and Bronze in Sparring. The Central Bucks Karate Club is flourishing under Sensei Liddle’s leadership. “I have grown in my capacity as Head
Karate Instructor over these 6 years and I have learned much from my students. With the help of my fellow black
belts, we have been able to grow as a club and improve our karate skills. Our club gets bigger and stronger every
year, and we consistently outperform our competition in tournaments.”
The Central Bucks Karate Club is now a member of the American Japanese Karate Association – International (AJKA-I)

Hi Everyone,

Reminder that tomorrow evening is our final class at Solutions. We are going to have class from 6:30-7:30. All former students are invited for one last training session. Sensei Matt and Sensei Nick would like to take everyone out to Rita’s for ice cream and water ice following the class.

Just a reminder for the morning, the tournament is at Quakertown YMCA, 401 Fairview Avenue, Quakertown, PA, 18951

**Event Schedule:**
- 7:00 AM: Doors Open
- 8:00 AM: Kobudo
- 9:00 AM: Opening Ceremony
- Followed by Team Kata, Kata, and Kumite events

Be there at least a half hour early to get checked in and warmed up. If you are NOT doing weapons, be there by 8:30am. Weapons competitors by 7:30.

Please make sure your kids only wear plain white tee shirts under their uniforms for the tournament. No colors, designs, or visible logos. Boys may choose to go shirtless under the uniform.

Make sure your kids’ uniforms are neat and clean, and belts are tied properly. See me, Sensei Nick or a senior student (sempai) if you need help.

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying the snow. We should be able to have classes tomorrow if the roads are clear. I’ll send out an update if we need to close.

Please bring sparring gear tomorrow. I’ll be reviewing kumite rules for the tournament. So far, we have five students registered, we need as many as possible for the team. Please register as soon as possible.
