Not sure of what you're signing up for? Well let us break down the ages/divisions for you and that way you can find out which spot your kiddo will be most successful in!

Quickball (Ages 4-6):

Quickball is a high-speed, low-pressure baseball training sport — a hybrid program for all ages that teaches but doesn’t dictate.
One session per week managed by PBA coaches. These are typically on FRIDAY nights.
Ages 6 and under
Focus is on fun while learning the fundamentals of the game of baseball in a relaxed environment

Rookies/Minor Prep (Ages 6-8):

Machine and/or Coach Pitch.
Games on Sunday afternoons with one practice during the week
Recreational Level
Ages 6-8
46/60 field
4 outfielders permitted
5 strikes then tee to start; after game 3 we will assess the skill level to determine if changes are needed (i.e. strikeouts/no tee)
No umpires; called by coaches


Minors (Ages 8-10):

Kid pitch
Games on Sunday afternoons with one practice during the week
Ages 8-10
NOTE: Depending on numbers, we will offer a competitive division (teams consisting of and playing against primarily travel players). There will be an option to select competitive or intramural during registration. This is not guaranteed to happen and will also be dependent on other leagues we play, but we are trying to gauge interest.
46/60 field dimensions
3 outfielders
No leads but steals after ball has crossed plate
No dropped third strike, infield fly, or balks
Minimum 1 umpire (may be a junior umpire)
Majors (Ages 10-12):

Kid pitch
Games on Sunday afternoons with one practice during the week
Ages 10-12

Play against teams from other Townships
Typically, no standings or playoffs

A good program for 12 year olds who will be 13 next spring to get acclimated to the larger field

Congratulations to the Plumstead Hawks 12U District team - they will play tomorrow night against a tough Morrisville team at 8:30 pm, under the lights, at Northampton Township fields.

The fall season is regarded as highly developmental with a focus on getting practice and game reps as opposed to wins and losses as we do not keep standings in the intramural divisions.

Note: The age played in the fall is typically what your child would play in the Spring of 2027.

Our goal with the Parent HR derby is to treat it like a fundraiser/social event. We will have the snack stand open selling food and apparel; 50/50 tickets will be sold; music will be playing too! It will be a great way to get together with all of us to put a bow on the season!

Please register if you are participating, as it will ask for your walk-up song on the day of the event. Regarding payment ($20/10 swings), we have a Venmo option available too (just DM us and ask for it!), cash is accepted as well, but we just don't want to blast our treasurers venmo all over the internet!

Don't want to bat, but want to be part of the fun ? Consider helping out on the day of the event as we will need assistance registering our participants, working the snack stand, pitching to the participants, and judging/umpiring the scores during the event.
Lastly, for the HR derby, we will be using Quickball bats and balls as they will be safer and allow the players to help on the field.
So how's scoring work?
We will section off the field into different “point zones”, where the further distance the ball is in the air before hitting the ground, the more points.
The event is open to ANY parent, family member, grandparent, you name it! Just have them register the same way, but just keep in mind we are trying to keep it adults batting ONLY as it is our "PARENT" home run derby

Its time for our Parents to step into the batter’s box for our third Parent HR Derby on Sunday June 14th at 3pm at Pinehickon Park Field 2!

Just a heads up to the Hawk Nation! Wee revising the time of the 10U & 11U tryouts this Sunday and wanted to let everyone know so they can plan their day accordingly.

ALL TRYOUTS (10U, 11U &12U) will now be on Sunday 5/17 at 10am at Pinehickon Park. 12U will be on field 1 (front), 10U and 11U will be on field 2 (middle), but depending on how many players register, we could put 10U back on field 3. We will also have another tryout at a later date for those that cannot attend this date/time.
