I have completed my initial reports.

While investors still evaluating the RGV as a possible future site of one of our global pre- professional academies, I will be
•Building a tournament in Panama
•Taking teams to Argentina
•Taking over as the Director of a residential academy in Orlando FL similar to our APG Academies.

I want to thank all the people in the RGV who welcomed me in and helped with our research here in the Valley.

I think there's potential here and I'll be posting ways that you can help in organizing the RGV to put it on a platform by itself. No help needed from other cities in TX.

If any of you are interested to learn more about the projects i will be directly involved with including the FL academy, Panama tournament, Argentina training and competition, or even the ClubReady iQ which I've helped a little that will coordinate all the different technologies for a club in one place, and it launches this fall...please reach out. What If the Release List Is Also a Talent Map?

Every academy release tells us something true: in one environment, at one moment, the player did not move forward.

It does not necessarily tell us why.

Players leave academies for legitimate reasons—roster balance, physical projection, role fit, timing, economics, technical level and many others. But development systems also make mistakes. One of the most consequential may be confusing a visible performance limitation with a valid diagnosis of the player’s potential.

Consider the player described as technically capable but tactically inconsistent. The standard response may be more tactical instruction. Yet if the player’s visual access is restricted—or controlling the ball still consumes the attention needed to scan—the player may understand the explanation perfectly and remain unable to apply it in live play.

Repeated failure then produces a familiar chain: more correction, lower confidence, reduced trust, fewer creative responsibilities and eventually release. The system believes it found the player’s ceiling. It may have reinforced one.

A release decision describes an outcome inside one environment. It does not always define the athlete’s developmental ceiling.
That creates an interesting opportunity for clubs, scouts and development organizations. Released players and close B-list candidates may form an undervalued talent pool—not because every decision was wrong, but because some players were accurately observed and inaccurately understood.

The answer is not to promise every released player a comeback. It is to offer certain players a genuinely different second evaluation: reconstruct the information they could access, identify the earliest meaningful limiter, test a matched intervention, and then reassess what changes.

Scouts are especially important here. They often retain a small but meaningful doubt after the formal decision: a quality, instinct or contradiction that makes them reluctant to close the file completely. A discreet secondary pathway can turn that residual judgment into useful evidence without asking the scout to challenge the club’s decision.

The most valuable referral question may be simple: What have you seen that makes you believe this player should not yet be dismissed?

In talent development, the market does not only undervalue what it cannot see. Sometimes it undervalues what it has seen—but explained incorrectly.

Closing question: If we changed the evaluation method before changing the player, how many apparent ceilings would move?

A player can be accurately observed and still be inaccurately understood. Before we label decision-making, we should separate the information a player accessed from what they did with it. Where does your evaluation process draw that line?

"Third man is impossible to defend" - Pep Guardiola

Pass and move is the fabric of the game when in possession, that is how fluid progression is achieved. To find space, create space or provide support players must constantly be on the move: dropping, moving between the lines, rotating, interchange positions, running in behind, making overlapping and under-lapping runs, making diagonal inside runs, providing a back pass option.

Third man is an unmarked player in a 3v2 situation, it gives player time to turn towards the goal and either become a “free man” himself (player who has space and time to progress further up the pitch) or can find a “free man” with a pass. Simple but extremely effective way to create numerical superiority, crucial when building a fluid attacking team.
