โค๏ธ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐จ๐จ๐ง ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐๐ฒ ๐๐ง๐๐ฌ ๐โค๏ธ
The 2025 All Star journey wrapped for these 8U Maroon boys this weekend at State. They wanted to win, they fought to win, but sometimes you can give ๐๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฒ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ you have and it simply isnโt enough. But here are some things these boys learned over their All Star journey this summer:
โญ๏ธ They are ๐๐๐๐๐๐. Even though there will always be things to improve on, and sometimes you donโt end up as Champions, they are enough exactly as they are.
โญ๏ธ They are built of ๐๐๐๐ than just skill and baseball IQ. They are strong, mentally and physically, and they showed more heart, tenacity, and toughness than even adults are capable of sometimes.
โญ๏ธ They are willing to ๐๐๐๐ for it! These boys practiced 4-6 days a week for almost 2 hours at a time in the extreme heat for the last 6 weeks in addition to ๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ก๐จ๐ญ days on the fields every weekend. They learned what it means to dream and to bust your butt to learn and grow and work towards achieving your goals.
โญ๏ธ They can lose and win with ๐๐๐๐๐! There are endless lessons that can be learned in the face of both winning and losing. We faced teams we saw do both without grace or humility, and we can stand proud in the fact our 8U Maroon boys have the spirit, heart ๐๐ง๐ class of true champions.
When you throw a group of 8 year olds together who havenโt played together as a team, and they have to compete in only a few weeks, you face challenges. They played with new teammates, new coaches, and in some instances in new positions, and to expect them to perform as a cohesive unit at the top levels of competition within weeks, is ๐ก๐๐ซ๐! But they showed up, against the odds, and they ๐๐๐ญ๐ญ๐ฅ๐๐ their little 8 year old hearts out.
They laid it all out, left it all on the field, and showed us not only what they can do, but who ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐! We are sad to end this journey sooner than we wanted, but on behalf of every player, parent, and Coach we can undoubtedly say ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐!
And we are ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฅ for a team of Coaches who poured into them, believed in them, lifted them up and loved them. ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ for all you did for this team. You are true ๐๐๐'๐ฌ โค๏ธ
And lastly, ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ง๐ค ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ to all of our ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ sponsors for truly making a difference in our next generation. And to every single fan who rooted them on and cheered for them, either in person or at home. Your love and support was felt by all the boys and we are so grateful for it all!
