We asked two of our high school girl wrestlers what keeps them on the mat:

“I'm Abby Cornwell and I wrestle because I enjoy the challenges during the learning process and being able to show what I've learned out at a tournament. I also enjoy being with the team and having their support. Wrestling has not only helped me on the mat but also off. It motivates me to want to do better in school. I've also noticed I've been able to be more confident and hold better conversations with people."

“I'm Maddy Hedge and I wrestle because I enjoy the challenge, competition, and excitement of the sport. Wrestling pushes me to work hard, become stronger, and build confidence. I also enjoy improving my skills, being part of a team, and reaching my goals."

That's what the numbers in these cards add up to: more schools, more states, more girls finding out what Abby and Maddy already know.

“After 8 hours of school and 2 hours of a grueling wrestling practice and staring down a difficult English final essay, the mat taught me that cutting corners isn’t an option. Repeating a move until it’s clean is no different than revising a draft until it’s right.”
——Keagan Cole, Perry High School Class of 2027, Wrestler and Future Physical Therapist

Why should your kids wrestle? Wrestling builds discipline that carries into the classroom and beyond. 🤼‍♂️📚

Give Back. Lead. Inspire. 🤼‍♂️✨

This year, we are thrilled to welcome four of our very own wrestling seniors, Abby, Maddy, Miles and Keagan, back to the Mighty Mites! As part of their Perry Service Learning (PSL) class, they are volunteering with our youth program all season.
It’s an incredible opportunity for them to give back to the wrestling community that helped shape them, and our littles are ALREADY looking forward to having these mentors in the wrestling room at practices and competitions! Get ready for a season of inspiration and mentorship. Wrestling with a purpose!

Registrations for the upcoming season are NOW OPEN! Don’t miss your chance to be part of something special.

Miles Osburn | Perry High School Football & Wrestling Senior | Class of 2027

I wrestle for unmatched toughness and leverage which I carry to the gridiron. I am a more confident, disciplined football player because I wrestle.

What an incredible day on the mat! 🤼‍♂️❤️

Our middle and high school wrestlers gave back in the best way possible today by hosting a clinic for the next generation of wrestlers. Seeing familiar faces who came up through this very program now leading the way for the younger kids was something truly special.

To our middle and high schoolers: we are so proud of the wrestlers AND leaders you've become.

To our youth wrestlers: whether you are new and returning, welcome to the family. The room was full of heart today, and that's what this program is all about.

The legacy continues. 🏆
