Excuse the Graphics on this 1rst Video..
Lakota does this anytime I lay my hands on him..in pain or not!
Yesterday as I let Lakota out of his stall, from afternoon feeding. He could barely walk!
It was apparent he had injured himself somehow. We still don't know what happened. He was fine going in for feeding. But he could've turned wrong or something. Just not sure. Of course I immediately contacted our vet and she advised me of a Stifle issue and what to do for him last night.
Stalled him, Ice Pack and Pain Meds.
He is somewhat better today. As you can see in second video. Still favoring leg. And limps. But much better than yesterday. Hopefully a few more days and he will be back to his self.
I know its a common injury for a horse. But to me it was the end of my world. This horse is my Heart! I have been bonded to him from day we first saw him. And I can't imagine my world without him to greet me, to carry me wherever I ask him to. To watch over me and to watch over the younger horses. He has been my beat friend, my shoulder to cry on during hard times, he has my total trust and I have his.
I wanted to Thank all of you that have checked on him and me. I can't tell you what it means to me. Love you all dearly. And I can not give enough thanks or gratitude to our wonderful vet, Rebecca!
Will keep everyone updated!
God Bless
