They say it takes a village… apparently ours comes with work gloves. 😂❤️🐴

The farm is becoming something we’re creating alongside the people we love most — our family, our kids, our friends, our neighbors, and our barn friends who keep showing up to help bring it all to life.

They’ve given their time, energy, weekends, muscles, and hearts to whatever project happens to be waiting that day. And trust me, there is always a project. 😂

There have been long days, dirty clothes, sore muscles, unexpected setbacks, and projects that somehow turn into three more projects.

But there has also been so much laughter, so many memories, and countless moments we’ll carry with us forever.

When I look around Everwild, I don’t just see fences, barns, fields, and dreams taking shape.

I see the people who helped build them.

I see family working beside us, friends lending a hand, neighbors showing up, kids growing up in the middle of it all, and barn friends becoming part of something bigger than any one of us.

That’s what makes this place so special.

Everwild is being built with more than wood, tools, and hard work. It’s being built with love, friendship, community, and the kind of memories that stay with you.

There’s something incredibly humbling about watching a dream come to life.

But watching it come to life alongside the people you love most? That’s the part we’ll treasure forever. ❤️

So here’s to our family, our kids, our friends, our neighbors, our barn friends, and everyone who keeps showing up.

We love you more than you know. We appreciate every helping hand, every encouraging word, every laugh, and every hour you’ve given to this dream.

Everwild wouldn’t be the same without you.

And yes… there’s probably another project waiting for you next weekend. 😂🐴🌿

Discontent is the nagging of the imagination. It’s that quiet, persistent feeling that tells us something in our partnership isn't quite right, even when we are trying our absolute hardest to do everything "correctly."

I see it happen all the time with humans and horses. A horse zones out, gets tight, or shuts down, and we assume they are being stubborn, lazy, or difficult. But most of the time, I see horses disconnect because their person is disconnected mentally. Our bodies might be in the arena, but our minds race through a to-do list, hold onto frustration, or worry about the next step.

Horses feel that internal static instantly.
We have to remember that horses are prey animals. Their entire nervous system is wired for survival, scanning the horizon, reading energy, and looking for safety. When we try to force them to comply by fighting those instincts—ignoring their need to process or overriding their freeze-or-flight responses—we break the bridge between us. We cannot bully a prey animal into feeling safe.

Real progress starts when we stop fighting their biology and start working with it. That means dropping our own armor, quieting our minds, and matching the grounded, honest presence they require. When we finally slow down enough to align our mental state with theirs, the nagging discontent fades away, replaced by a quiet, unbreakable rhythm where both of us can finally breathe.

✨ Introducing Everwild Equestrian ✨

Some dreams live quietly in your heart for years… and then one day, somehow, you’re standing right in the middle of them. 🐴🌿

We are so incredibly excited to finally introduce Everwild Equestrian.

What started as an idea, a whole lot of dreaming, and more than a few “what if we actually did this?” conversations has officially become real. We have the farm. We have the horses. We have an amazing team beginning to come together. And now the real fun begins. ❤️

Everwild is going to be so much more than a place with barns and pastures. We’re creating a place where people can learn, grow, ride, breathe, belong, and experience everything horses have a way of teaching us without ever saying a word.

There is still plenty of work ahead of us—and plenty around here that needs a little love—but that might be one of my favorite parts. We get to watch this place become what we know it can be.

Over the next several months, we’ll be sharing the renovations, the horses, the people, the programs, the beautiful moments and probably some of the chaos too. 😂

For now, though, I just want to take this moment in.
