⚾️ 2022 DIXIE YOUTH BASEBALL 8U DIVISION 1 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS ⚾️

We just checked off our last box. ✔️ After a disappointing finish at last year's World Series in Laurel, MS our coaches set a goal to win the 2022 DYB World Series. Since our last game last summer, the work to achieve that goal hasn't wavered. Individually each player has drastically improved. As a team they have grown mentally and learned to play as a unit with no one individual seeking the spotlight. The 7 coaches have sacrificed hours and hours of time away from the rest of their families to pour time into these 12 boys and facilitate their growth. The families have endured long practices, road trips, tournaments, financial responsibilities, and time without their brother, Daddy, or son while they were grinding away at practice on the baseball field. But like Babe Ruth said "You just can't beat the person who never gives up". All this work came together and put us on top as World Series CHAMPIONS. We just checked our box. ✔️ We've got 12 young men, coaches, and families from small town Perry, Georgia who are now WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!

We are bringing it home to Perry now. Our town has planned a Homecoming on Frank Satterfield Road to Perry Junior League at 6:00 tonight to welcome these CHAMPIONS home!

Our very last coach pitch game..... World Series CHAMPIONSHIP here we come!!!! Not many can say that but our favorite ballers can!!! What a ride this has been!!! ❤️💙❤️💙

Just TWO flags remain standing! ⭐️

Our 2022 Perry 8U All-Stars were on fire today beating Alabama in a revenge game 1-8. We showed them what we are really made of. Now it's up to us to show South Carolina how bad we want the DIXIE YOUTH BASEBALL 8U DIVISION 1 WORLD SERIES title!

Gametime at 5:30 (6:30 EST). We plan to beat SC two times in order to earn the TITLE.

Keep cheering back home and praying for our boys (and our pitcher Coach Keith - he twisted his ankle during the last game).

*** Kristian got 3 (yes, three!) more homeruns in the game vs. Alabama.

We've got to brag on today's Homerun Hitters! 💪

#5 Kristian Vandersee earned his 4th homerun of the World Series earning the RECORD for number of homeruns in a World Series. We are so proud to call him one of ours!

#1 Tucker Jenrette got himself his first Homerun in tonight's game. This gave us our first run in a tough game. Tucker J has been working so hard for this moment.

Let's hear it for our boys!

Our 2022 Perry 8U All-Stars are now in the FINAL FOUR. Games start back tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 (3:00 Eastern Time).
